I have 2 of the LG Portable AC units. Work Flawlessly. Dry Mode works to Remove Humidity. The Cool Mode works Really well for Cooling a room. Best part about this unit no water draining. I would recommend this item.

We read about the noisiness of this model, but it's an AIR CONDTIONER and not overly noisier than any a/c. We love it; set it and let it run. DRAINAGE; we bought a white drain hose which is good. Yes, you can just cut a small opening in the supplied window block/exhaust board and run it outside, but the drainage isb't a big deal or requires constant monitoring (I drained it for a very small trickle after a couple of weeks). I DID use a different insulation foam, also from Amazon, made for cars and looks, insulates and works much better. This unit is clean and capable. Easy and fast to set up. Has a remote that is fine. Does NOT use a tone of power to operate!A cost-effective way to cool space instead of central air.

My LG portable AC unit was delivered on July 10th and neighbors helped me install it on the 11th, because I couldn't even get the box into the house, much less up the stairs. The first night of operation, the whole thing shut off after only a couple of hours, but came back on when I pushed the Power button. It stopped again after another hour, but this time the green lights were on. I can't sleep if it keeps shutting off and on. As for the noise level, it fluctuates depending on when the compressor kicks in, which also disturbs my sleep. I also smell some kind of an odor, although I'm told the refrigerant has no odor (they also don't tell you it uses R32 refrigerant in the specs). When it runs, it does put out cold air so far, but not sure I can deal with all the other problems. It's also only got a 30 DAY RETURN POLICY, and because they don't provide technicians for home repair, it means I'd have to haul this heavy thing down the stairs and try to get it to a UPS Store for return. I would have to pay someone to do it for me, which is totally inconvenient! I'd think twice about getting one of this room ac units! Update is the 2nd night. I had it set to Cool @76 degrees and it was 75degrees outside according to TWC. For some reason tonight, the compressor keeps cycling on and off more frequently than last night, which is really irritating. The unit is running and staying at 76 degrees, but the change in the noise level is driving me crazy. I am used to a consistent White Noise machine. At 2 a.m. I turned it from Cool to Fan Mode and turned on my regular floor fan and slept better. Is it normal for this to cycle so rapidly???

So 3 months into owning this unit it’s finally hot enough outside to set it up. IT WORKS! Good thing since I’m out of my return window. Background: Moved into my first home with Central Air, works great downstairs, not so good upstairs. We lack a return up here, it is a retrofit gravity system. I needed a solution to not melt myself and my wife in a relatively small room with 2 robust gaming PCs and too many monitors. Pros: Air out the top is nice and cold Remote is easy to use Setup was about 10 minutes Fan blows strong and the cooling vent has a nice oscillation Cons: Pretty darn loud (All portable AC’s are since the compressor is inside the room) Exhaust tube is Very Hot, which is to be expected if you have any idea how an ac works. After about 30 minutes the computer room (upstairs, old house, 11x15’, newer windows) is still pretty warm, but it is getting better. (1 hr- still not Cold, yet better. Although there is no gaming going on so that will be the true test. I will update if this LG fails that test) Hindsight being 20/20, just shoving a window ac in would have definitely cooled the space faster and not introduced extra heat into the room (exhaust tube), while also being a bit quieter. BUT - Being relatively portable and not having to screw anything into my window/frame is very convenient. I can see myself keeping this unit and not giving it away like I have 7-8 window ac units before. Also hindsight, should have kept one… Tip: Keep the vent as short and straight as possible. Unit has a dehumidifier mode, you Must attach a hose to the upper drain. No hose/drain required dying AC mode, the unit has an evap system. It will however warn you if you need to drain it. I’d call it a safe buy, reputable brand, fair price per BTU. I think I’ll get some kind of insulation for the vent.

When we ordered it was sooo hot out but once delivered it had cooled down considerably which was strange weather for Vancouver in July! We had to wait for a hot day and it finally happened....so easy to use the remote. It's very quiet and it cooled us down quickly. This is one of the best things we've purchased and it can get as hot outside as it wants and we'll be comfortable, safe and cool in our home.

It work well nice design but very expensive I found the same thing in the store for the third of the price around $550 they sold it to me on Amazon at $1500 so I would tell you to shop around go to different stores it’s much cheaper screwed big time

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I ordered this AC unit and was very disappointed with the volume of the unit. Impossible to sleep in a room with it on. It says in the ad that it is 51dbs but the this is completely false advertising as the actual value of the unit is closer to 70 dbs. I got a decibel reader to take actual readings because I couldn’t believe how loud the unit was. I then tried to return the unit and the store would not pay the return shipping fees, even though it did not say anywhere on their website that I would be charged these fees. So I had to pay $114 to return the unit. Then when they received the unit, they only gave me a 50% refund even though it said nowhere on their site that they would only give me a 50% refund . When I contacted them they made reference to some policy that was not posted anywhere so I put in a claim on Amazon‘s A-to-Z guarantee and Amazon refunded me both the return shipping fee and the remaining 50% cost of the unit. Do not buy anything from this seller as their advertisements are misleading and they will take your money and not refund it. Beware!

Great product, received on time as promised. Cool down my 100 sq. ft office quickly, still testing out in my 1st month of operation. However, one down side...noice level is loud despite rating @51 db for quietness.

It is easy to install, it works, but still a bit too noisy for my liking. But for a portable AC, I guess it is as good as it gets. The price point is expensive.
