Superb Quality
I recently purchased the Hikig 2 Set Desk Mount for my flight sim game setup, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This mounting system is a game-changer for anyone looking to enhance their flight simulation experience. Firstly, the build quality is outstanding. The mounts are sturdy and well-made, providing a reliable and secure platform for my Logitech X56 HOTAS, and are easily detachable by just the simple pulling a lever. I was impressed by the durability of the materials used, ensuring that my expensive flight control peripherals are held in place safely. The set-up was relatively easy, and only took me around ~30 minutes to fully set up both mounts. It's versatile enough to accommodate various setups, and you can easily change configuration if you ever change your HOTAS set-up. What sets the Hikig Desk Mount apart is its stability during intense flight maneuvers. I no longer experience the frustration of my joystick or throttle slipping or wobbling during crucial moments in the game with them just sitting on my desk. The mounts stay firmly in place, providing a realistic and immersive flying experience.

A bit fussy to put together, and SHARP metal edges, but great product
The instructions are just okay. Learning how to properly assemble it will take some trial and error. They could have given some suggestions along the way, like mounting your controllers first, or which bolts to tighten first and which to leave for last. Assembling the first one took about 45 minutes. The second took about 25 because I learned from the mistakes I made on the first. Once done, this is a very solid product. Great stability. Puts my Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS right where it needs to be. The mountain recommendation for the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS is incorrect if you're going to mount them separately as I have. Use the cross bars and there are two threaded receptors on the bottom of each controller. It is enough to solidly mount them. BEWARE: There are SHARP metal edges on these parts. I sliced my knee open pretty good to the point of bleeding profusely for about 5 minutes. No excuse for not rounding these off a little at the factory. Taking off one point of material quality because of this. I'm taking one point off the overall rating because of the lacking instructions and the overall fussiness of assembly, but this is otherwise a pretty solid product. There is abundant mounting hardware included to mount different brands and types of hardware. Solid addition to my gaming rig.

Does it's job
Easy to assemble and the sliders let you set it up really easily. The clamps don't have the range I would like but the build quality and functionality are exactly what I needed for star citizen. Came with 2 full plates that have cutouts for a range of joysticks so you can screw them in and not have to worry about stability. Good price Quality material Provided solutions for a range of devices

Very Stable, Sturdy, and most of all Customizable.
Overall: Very pleased with the HOTAS mount, it took a bit to assemble but once together it feels sturdy, firm, and well secured to my desk while being easy to unclamp and store. The variety of configurations and adjustable position all work great, though it does require you to loosen screws to alter the height/depth this also means that once set it stays put and there's no fiddly knobs or other hardware taking up extra space. Pros: -Very customizable, fits a number of different HOTAS styles and has two different mounting platforms. -Assembly allows for creativity and modification if need be for a wide array of configurations, even upside down to increase height relative to desk instead of the standard lower than desk option. Though for some unorthodox configurations you might need to modify or bandsaw off some of the excess central/vertical column to prevent monitor view block. -Very stable once assembled and tightened up. -Very nice clamping fixture. Cons: -Exact number of assembly bolts/nuts. -Requires assembly(not really a con but some reviewers didn't seem to realize this was the case so mentioning it as both a pro and a con.) -A few washers would be a great addition to help HOTAS like the Saitek X52 which use the slender mounting bolts to better secure to the bar type bracket. The slide nuts would be a perfect fit for this had there been 4 extra to use, but the lack of extra led to me borrowing a few larger nuts from the plate style bracket mounting hardware to use in place of a washer.

Improve your comfort and ergonmics! Nice quality without a ridiculous price.
I've had this for almost a year now, and I've had no issues with the mounts. The quality was better than I expected (edges are sharp on unpainted surfaces, but they provide plastic covers). This has been great for both getting a more natural positioning to real-life control orientation but also for helping with ergonomics of my sitting position while using. I wish I had bought these sooner, as it makes such a big difference in my comfort level and posture now gaming (instead of leaning forward on my desk or having my arm raised to reach the flight stick for example). With the quick releases, you can slide or move the peripherals out of the way to return your desk area back to normal use as well. The instructions were straight forward, and you can look at someone's assembled pictures as well to get a quick idea of how to put together as all pieces are unique, which helps to alleviate any confusion on assembly. FYI, I'm using a Logitech X56 HOTAS and throttle.

Updated! Couldn't assemble the mounts with the provided parts
Updated - I received a replacement and the height-adjusting bolts were removable. I suspect the reason the first set wasn't removable was due to rust in the assembly. The replacement contained the same kind of bolts, but these were removable. One of the bolts, though, had a substantial amount of rust and gunk down in the threads, and I needed a small wrench to remove it. I cleaned the bolt and the assembly out. Even with a wrench, I was unable to unscrew the bolts on the previous one. Once assembled, the mounts do just what they say on the tin. Assembly is a bit tricky and as other reviewers have noted the instructions are more of a general suggestion than an accurate depiction, but once you get the first one assembled the second goes very quickly. They are so far sturdy, and I'm able to keep my controls at a more comfortable height with them. They're easy to remove when I don't need the HOTAS, and they clamp back on my desk without issue. I'd like to give more stars, but there are still some quality-control issues with the parts. As mentioned above, one of the height-adjusting bolt assemblies had rust and gunk in it. The replacement unit had a lot of metal shavings in some of the parts which were an unpleasant surprise. 3 stars from me now, up from one. Prior review: The height-adjusting bolts on the clamps I received are not removable, even with a wrench, and the clamp thus can't be mounted in the clamp assembly. The bolts do not match the image in the assembly instructions, and they are not the same as those shown in other reviews. I was unable to find contact information for the manufacturer to request assistance, and am instead returning this item.

Good Sturdy Hardware Beware Quality Control
This is a great product, if you're paying the discounted price around $80. While I do see how the original price is justified through the good materials used in this mount, they're a bit overly bulky in that they overcompensate in order to accommodate all the different types of HOTAS setups. I definitely appreciate the fact that I can upgrade my HOTAS to something better/new and not have to worry about getting new mounts, but that leads to a product that comes with a ton of extra hardware and almost too much adjustability. The vertical bar is long enough that you will definitely notice the lost knee/leg room, and this is amplified by the fact that it's built long enough to be mounted on a standing desk and be used in a sitting position. That could be a good thing though, if you're looking for a mounting solution that can accommodate a weird/custom desk. To further speak to the hardware itself; everything is made out of metal, aside from good rubber and silicone for the faces that mate with the desk. it feels like a very solid product, and once all the nuts are tightened down it feels absolutely rock-solid. These mounts can even be affixed to your desk at an angle and won't introduce any play or instability, if it's tightened down properly. However, I do think that they don't pay the closest attention to quality control, as I had two parts that were defective upon arrival. One of the four L-Brackets had a hole that wasn't punched through and had a slug affixed to the side, which had been coated with the rest of the piece making it difficult to repair on my own. I did end up assembling the mount with the bad bracket, and it still feels very solid. The second part was one of the flat bars, which have sunken screws via a bevel in a perpendicular hole. The bevel on one of the holes, on one of the four flat hotas mounting bars was not beveled and thus couldn't be affixed with two screws, just one. Regardless of the missing bevel, it didn't effect the rigidity of the mount, even when both bad parts were installed in the same mount. While the lacking quality control was frustrating, I was pleasantly surprised to find I wouldn't need to have it replaced since it works perfectly fine as is with the bad parts. Overall, this is a great way to have a modular mounting setup that allows for future upgrades, and is built sturdy enough to take some punishment. I can already tell it's a night and day difference having your hotas fixed to a sturdy surface, rather than leaving them sitting on your desk, unattached. However, if you order this product, make sure to inspect all of your parts, prior to assembling anything, as everything is packed very efficiently in the box and returns may be difficult to repack. One more note to make: I bought this product to use on an L-shaped desk, and this may have been a blunder on my part. The mounts take up too much room for my case and make it impossible to fully pull my chair in for equal reach to my keyboard and hotas. This can lead to having to lean forward to use the keyboard whenever I need to switch back and forth on the fly. This definitely won't be an issue if you have a wider desk, and will most likely still be fine for other L-Shaped desks if it has a larger footprint. Make sure to take some measurements and ensure it'll fit your setup, and account for any angle you may want to put them at when using the mounts!

THE best DIY deal when 50-60% off - not for those easily frightened by giant piles of parts
5 stars because good luck finding any better deal. I got this for $72 USD, which is usually the price of just ONE mount. With this, you get TWO desk mounts that you DIY custom build to support almost any device you want. You can mount this in a variety of different configurations, and I am considering getting a 2nd copy of this kit just for mounting extra parts to the existing frames. Yes, I said custom build. Because let's just get it right out of the way. The negative reviews, in all their histrionics, are also correct: - Yes, it's so cheap because a lot of assembly is required - The manual is inaccurate and is more general ballpark inspirational, it doesn't hold your hand - This is a DIY parts kit - you have to use your brain and figure out a lot on your own If you are easily scared by a giant pile of parts, this is not for you. In which case I would encourage you to still try anyway. It really is more intimidating looking than it actually is -- which is much the same for the games that use mounts like this. If you don't have what it takes to assemble this, how will you survive the complexities of flight? Maybe a smartphone or console game would be more suited to you? If you appreciate the greater possibility held by a pile of parts, keep reading. There are some things to keep in mind when assembling that aren't obvious or mentioned in the manual: ☀ The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro isn't officially supported but can be secured to the mounting rails with 4 Velcro cable/zip-tie strip/wraps. This also goes for just about anything that doesn't have screw holes. ☀ Wipe down all the main metal pieces with paper towels before assembling or your hands will stink from some kind of industrial grease they made this with! ☀ The manual says to loosely attach the little trapezoidal silver nuts/bolts onto things _before_ sliding them into the rails. TO MAKE **EVERYTHING** EASIER, disregard the manual and instead first put them directly into the rails (make sure they're facing the correct way - match their shape to the rail) to create sliding screw holes. To prevent them from sliding out, use the little HIKIG branded square plastic pieces on the ends of the rails. The whole process should now be tremendously easier. ☀ If your desk's front facing edge is not flat/straight but rounded (like mine), you will have a challenge - this mount may pivot/spin around. In this case, either insert/build some kind of shim to provide the mount with a flat straight facing surface, or -- if you're willing to deface your desk -- drive a dowel, wood screw, or pin through the screw hole on the top of the mount to provide it with a 3rd contact point that will prevent it from swiveling around. ☀ After assembling the clamp, the best path to calibrate the clamp to your desk thickness is as follows: (1) flip the lever *into the locked-on position* before assembling it to the main vertical rail (2) use the rotation of the top of the clamp to snug it against the desk (3) flip the lever down to pull the clamp away from the desk (4) unscrew the clamp's circular pad A LITTLE TINY BIT to provide extra pressure (5) flip the lever back up to secure the entire assembly - this SHOULD NOT require great force ⚠ ! WARNING: DO NOT OVERPRESSURE THE DESK WITH THE CLAMP! ⚠ You only need "just enough" snugness that pulling the mount firmly will wiggle your desk rather than the mount! This kit has no safety functions to prevent you from building it in such a way that it will destroy itself, or your desk. To the reviewer who complained about the metal noticeably bending when mounted, you used WAY too much pressure!
