This product really works.
This product is amazing. I started using it last year in my swarm traps and the results were great. 3 traps and 4 swarms caught. This year is off to the same results. The bees love this.

The Jury is still out...
I've used normal lemon grass oil for a few years and thought I'd try Swarm Commander this year. I've avoided getting this due to the price, but thought I'd try it out. It did not attract any more swarms than normal lemon grass did. But this is only a one-season test, we all know that some years you get lots of swarms, other years very few to none. So I'll give it a go again next season, but so far I'm not very impressed. I really think one has to use multiple techniques to attract swarms besides just an attractant/spray... like coat the inside of swarm trap with bees wax, pollen or propolis, put in a couple frames of old honeycomb, the placement and time of year you put out traps, etc. It's a bit of an art and not totally a science - sometimes there is no perfect recipe.

Works so well you bring in curious bees from unswarming hives
So we decided to give a go at catching bees...we made our box and sprayed this as directed and the next week I got surgery. He was going to hang it in woods but it began to rain. A week later the rain stoped and the sun shined like crazy...well the box had still been sitting on our porch....as we prepared to get me out of the house for the day....mother's day. Well next thing we know there are a few bees around the box on the porch! Next day it was bees everywhere! We thought we caught a swarm....but we hadn't. Twice more this happened after we moved it to our backyard and still same thing. We watched bees go in and even one night had bees inside ..but no queen and no work being done on our frames. We watched them one by one fly off in same direction every day...as days wore on and a month went by they slowly left....up the road to home...at their own hives a 1/4 mile away. Ugh not my bees but shows it worked to bring need to check it out. We know they liked it and our box, but we didn't expect it in our yard anyhow..next time it's goes to a serious place.
