### ⭐ Make your own fun watching a legit 1 sci fi shoot 'em up action flick about generic space marines
*by B***A on October 11, 2019*

This movie is bad on an existential-crisis level. You think I'm exaggerating, but I'm pretty sure this is the series (yes it's a sequel) that will finally inspire me to quit my job and launch a bad sci fi film critic channel. We have so many wonderful details to check in on, there's the laughably bad military stuff, there's the laughably bad science, there's the laughably bad CGI, this movie is wall to wall meme-worthy. I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to say this in my review here or not, but the acting isn't just on par with being a classic pizza-delivery type porno, there are at least 3 beats where I was pretty sure they'd just switched up the franchise on me and it was actually a porno now. This is insanely not juxtaposed, but just thrown into the in a heterogeneous mix with later torture scenes that have shall we say offscreen sexualized implications, so the movie tries to have it both ways by showing us gratuitous nudity by way of characters needlessly hooking up, and straight up women in distress gore.As far as I can tell, the screenwriters took the space marines from Aliens and... nope that's it. It's almost like they had a writing device of picking every neurotic obnoxious personality trait, assigning them to space marines as if they were Smurf villagers, and then hoping the audience just identifies with one that reminds them of their own neuroses the most. The plot appears to be this: one of the guys who survived the last movie gets a promotion and a new mission to clear out a dungeon on an ice planet. That's it!Along the way, unimportant people die, perhaps characters who were in the first movie. Or new people. Anyway, the writers pick them off one by one, as relentless as any any chainsaw wielding maniac. Speaking of, the bad guy from the first movie reappears, says some vile stuff to a damsel in distress redshirt just to reinforce that it's not the kind of movie where the only character with costume design is the hero (except he's blind now? Well he's not blind, he can see fine, but he has gore makeup where his eyeballs are? Was be blindes whilst being thoroughly defeated last time?) Anyway he's back, only to be defeated about halfway through the film. His costume has a cool godzilla-looking spine like you've seen before, it works here too. He gets killed again, spine ripped out because what are they gonna spend the money building a spine and then not showing it ripped out for you?Despite him dying in the last movie and once already this film, he's also somehow the main badguy boss fight at the end. He's not like powered up this time by riding a cool mech or appearing as a brain in a jar or it turns out it was a clone of Donald Pleasance he killed, he's just like back, as in returned, he's fine now, that whole killing him by ripping out his spine thing is just not even handwaved. Here he is for fisticuffs again.Anyway. After about 60 minutes of walking towards a building and shooting everyone inside it as they pop out in groups of 2s and 3s, we're done. Off to the next planet! The first one was red and they were walking through blue corridors, this time the planet was blue and they were walking through red corridors. Can't wait for part 3! Fans of terrible cliffhangers, boy does this movie have a treat for you. It doesn't even have an ending, it just asks you to insert coin to continue.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ keep this series coming
*by K***C on June 30, 2008*

I agree with the other reviewers in that these films rip some things from past blockbuster movies. I don't personally have an issue with that. The special effects at times are quite cheesy. However, these films have a little charm to them. I hope the series continues and evolves the story...and hopefully, the budget will increase a little bit over time also, so the special effects get better. I thought this film was better than the first and the goal of the producers should be to keep incrementally getting better with each release, reusing a core of individuals from film to film while not being afraid to kill off important characters.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very good second movie..
*by W***N on June 3, 2015*

It was a very good movie. I have watched the whole series. This is the second movie in the series. Sgt. Sharp has been promoted to Lt. Sharp for his actions in the "Caparini Massacre". Shape's squad is sent to an ice planet to investigate rumors of a facility mass producing cyborgs in "The Mezzo Incident". The rumors prove to be true and they have to fight their way out of the facility before it blows up. By now most of his old squad is dead. In the last movie in this series "The Gauda Prime Conspiracy" they are sold out by a traitor and are captured. At the end of the credits they hinted at another movie which never came about. Too bad that they quit making the series.
