Better than I thought it would be!
It is impossible to clean these windows without either paying a window cleaner or, hanging with waist over ledge to reach the bottom. My partner and I are getting too old to risk it so thought I would try this after carefully reading reviews on this and similar ones. Wow, those magnets really are powerful. If you use your brain and take your time to think about what you are doing you will be successful in achieving a great result. I was sceptical at first. Having unpacked it and placed all the bits in the holdall (with stings long enough you can sling it over your shoulder) I left it for a while then built up courage to test it on the back door which has patterned, bumpy glazing. Having watched the video(s) and read the instructions I made my first attempt and was surprised how well it worked. I purposely did not spray one side of the glass as I would not be able to do so on the bedroom windows (I used white vinegar with a drop of washing up liquid, topped up with water for spraying inner window). Once you realise the direction it has to go in, as the blade wipes of the suds, it was easy to get into a rhythm and I was very pleased with the result. The pad did not fall off once and was not as jerky as I thought it would be. Today I put it to the real test on the bedroom windows. Following the same pattern (all four corners then left to right, right to left, working my way down) I was extremely pleased with the result. Took less time than I thought so decided to tackle the bathroom window that has had seagull pooh on it for over a year! This time I was not so lucky in that the top window is only a little higher than the pad and it would not open enough to allow me to reach it so I just cleaned the inside. The larger, bottom window was more easy to reach (stood on a folding stool) and, after cleaning the window went back to the pooh stain and 'scrubbed' back and forth several times. I even left the pads in situ for about 5 mins whilst I had a break to ensure it was saturated and softened. That worked, a few more scrubs and it was gone! Result! Got a bit too confident when bringing the pads back up to within reach and the outer one fell away. Had the trusty string around my wrist so was able to easily retrieve it. Pro's • It is compact and easy to carry round from room to room (apart from the dish full of water). • The soft pads come off easily for cleaning (you can apply for a free spare set). • It works on patterned, bumpy, double glazed windows Con’s • It doesn’t quite wipe the suds from the corners • It could do with a loop or string on the inner pad as you need to avoid them connecting until you have placed one in position on the outside window. I was leaving one on the window sill and could not reach it holding the other in place so found it hard to get onto steps with a pad in each hand. • It can leave some streaks • Price has reduced by £10 since I bought mine. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the result and would highly recommend. Remember, you are cleaning both sides of the window in one go so much quicker than having to do each separately, and cheaper than paying a window cleaner!

Good result and worked as expected
A good budget option of a magnetic window cleaner. It’s specified for double glazed window and it works well. The magnet is strong and didn’t give any feeling that it’ll detached and fall. I can get satisfied result even on the 1st try. More practice makes it better going on. The dust can easily come off at the 1st wipe. Other tough stain would need more love and attention at expected. Yes there’ll be some blindspot that the cleaner couldn’t reach but all is reasonable to me. Mine are huge double glazed sash windows that can hardly be cleaned by myself before. Keep hiring professional window cleaner isn’t economical under Scottish weather. I’m glad I purchased this so I can clean by myself regularly. A reference photo shows the cleaned window at the bottom, the dusty one at the top. Be sure to read the instructions came with the package. There is an official youtube channel with informative videos. Parts replacement can be purchased officially which is very helpful for future. I took 1 star away since the gripping handle isn’t practical enough when the cleaner is wet and slippery. Would be even better if both halves are equipped with a handle, instead of only one half.

Cheap/Weak plastic frame
The idea is great and it works pretty well after a bit of practice. The only problem is that the plastic frame is cheap/weak and after the first use the plastic hole of one of the screws has already detached from the frame. See picture

Fabulous window cleaner
I dont often write reviews BUT this does deserve one , really does work Bought over a month ago but only just used due to renovation work , Instructions are very clear. Comes in its own lovely box with everything needed and everything fits back in for storing The Magnets ARE very strong and did struggle to get them apart WATCH your fingers as they do SNAP together and are really difficult to get apart if the separator block isnt in the middle. Do be careful putting on the glass aswel due to the snapping of the magnets , advisable to wear the safety rope around your wrist as i it did fall off and i had to go looking in the garden for it🙈. It really did clean the inside and out quick and easy & streak free once got the knack of turning it at the edges of the window. Only downside was it is a bit too big to do the upper panes of glass ( photo circled ) and get it to turn ( fell off at this point ) a mini version would be idea for smaller windows .

Leaves a bug smudge in the corner
Works well on very high windows but I wouldn't use it on ground floor where I can reach easily the magnets are plenty powerful enough for my double glazing however when you get to the last corner to take you to off it leaves a great big smudge and I can't work out how not to do that and if you watch all the videos every one of them stops before they remove it from the window

Simple to use if you read the instructions
This product works as described. Cleaning a large bay window on the 1st floor subject to seagull poo, dust from next door building work and sea spray, Read the instructions as important to understand you are cleaning both sides at the same time. Simple to use if following the instructions, ensure you connect the safety lead as it can separate if you run into the side too hard. Mind your fingers when not cleaning the windows as the magnets are strong! Overall worked surprisingly well, though cant get tight into the corners is the only observation.

Great little gadget
Clear instructions, which when followed allowed for a good quality clean of our windows. Takes a bit of practice but quickly becomes easy to use. See attached before and after photos. Our windows were filthy and although they didn't come up perfectly, it's as close as they are going to get being that we are in a top floor flat, so outside accessibility is an issue. I could not use the magnetic cleaner on the fan light windows as the unit is a little too big. Really pleased to get a QR code for a set of free replacement pads. Overall a great gadget at a fair price for tricky to clean windows.

Totally impressed with product and company!
I’m now too old and arthritic to climb ladders safely any more and professional window cleaners with ladders and buckets seem to be a dying breed in my area, the few that survive won’t last long on what pensioners can afford! How on earth are we supposed to get upstairs/outside windows clean? So, I bit the bullet and ordered one of these: I was sceptical - after reading several reports of similar products that fell off double glazed units, trapped fingers, smashed glass etc. In less than 24 hours my beautifully packaged magnetic gadget arrived from Amazon. Why do I mention the packing? Well, it really is good, attractive, strong, fit-for-purpose and a really exciting box to open! Absolutely everything I’d need to clean the windows (save for a drop of water and window cleaning liquid). Upon opening the box there were warnings about the incredibly strong magnets that were inside. Instructions for use (with pictures) are on the outside of the box, on a detailed and easy to follow leaflet inside, and if you’re the sort of person who learns best by watching … there are links to You-Tube films of ordinary folk using this gadget! Lots of warnings about danger of trapping fingers in between strong magnetic plates, but also lots of hints and advice about: going slowly, how much liquid to use, how not to worry at first use about not getting the corners of windows shiny clean, and hints to stop the outside cleaning plate dropping from an upstairs window onto an unsuspecting passer by, and yet more about going slowly…… Well, I’ve just cleaned some huge windows for the first time in months - they were really grubby and rain speckled with summer dust. I even had a cartoon like dusty outline of a pigeon which had flown into the window a few weeks ago…just like a Tom and Jerry cartoon with a perfectly clear outline - body, wings, head…..every time the sun shone on the glass I saw the poor pigeon’s perfect in-flight profile! (Don’t worry unduly, he escaped and flew off , but was undoubtedly a bit stunned!) My windows are now sparkling again. I went very, very slowly. I kept the cleaning pads very wet and they slide easily with a little window cleaning fluid - though one of the YouTube presenters said dish liquid was just fine too. The cleaning pads didn’t separate once or drop from the glass. I tied the connecting cord to a window handle - found that easier than my wrist. I can see one streak quite close to the bottom of the window (the first I cleaned) which I am sure is because there was such a build up of grubbiness. I know I can do the window again soon, and going slowly doesn’t really matter at all as one is actually doing both sides of the double glazing at the same time! By the way, my windows are only a few years old and I believe the gap between the glass has increased in these recent window units on the basis that they are better for insulation…the magnet strength in this Gekkoh product are certainly up for the job! I would happily promote this gadget to anyone. The company also emailed me after only one day to offer a free set of replacement pads by return….absolutely brilliant PR and service. And, although this isn’t the cheapest product on the list, it’ll pay for itself by replacing just two visits from a professional window cleanser! I’m completely and utterly wowed by this great gadget and the company … I’m never going to allow my windows - upstairs/downstairs, inside/outside to get grubby again. Thanks Gekkoh!
