The "dumb" switch, needs two wires between it and the Zooz - one is connected to the "runner" terminal on the Zooz, the other is connected to the common / netural terminal on the Zooz, but not necessarily directly, it could be connected to a neutral wire, which ultimately is connected to the common/neutral on the Zooz. You should have at least two wires between your Zooz and the "dumb" switch in an existing 3-way setup, so you should have all the wires you need. The dumb switch operates the Zooz by "turning or or off" the runner wire, so your existing 3-way switch will work as well as a regular 2-way switch. **Q: If used with a manual slave switch, when the slave is off can the zooz switch still turn the lights on?** A: I have always understood “slave” to mean a switch was wired incorrectly.
