The AG stands for Artist Guild. These are poker. They are a deck of cards that you play with, not just for magic.

Is it plastic or paper?

They are Not pure plastic cards. These are Bicycle style VERY HIGH quality playing cards. So that does make them paper but coated. You want these cards.

Is the box that these cards come in grooved? As in can I feel the texture on the box?

The box is not grooved. It’s a standard box. The cards are great cards. I play bridge with them.
