When you lock the laser pendulum in place, it shuts off all the lasers, and if you try to tilt it without locking the pendulum, the lasers blink to tell you it is out of plumb. **Q: Where is this made?** A: Doesn't matter . I would just go with the DeWalt. Only negative is that you need a tripod to use the plumb Bob feature. The Bosch one with the plumb Bob comes with a mini tri pod that brings the lazer about 4" off the ground so you can see the other spot. The Klein one is only about 3/4" off the ground. But the Klein come comes with a hard plastic case where the Bosch is just a soft case.
