it's a cute chunky frame, i made an error on the mat size tho so beware to others.  it does not mat the picture to 3.5 x 5 it mats it to 3.5 x 5.5 the size of no picture anywhere.  still my error i guess since i can't see where it says the size.

Typically, a 5x7 frame holds a 5x7 picture. This frame holds a 5x7, yes, but the mat holds a smaller photo. So if you buy this because you have a nice 5x7 and like the way it'll look with a white mat and black frame, you'll be disappointed. Doesn't mention the mat size anywhere in there! Nice frame, if you don't mind framing a smaller picture or not using the mat, but this was disappointing.

This isn't anything special but it works and looks nice if you aren't looking for fancy.  So I'd say give it a try.
