The blank white keycaps can be easily replaced if you so desire. I just used some label tape to label mine.Switches are a bit on the soft side, as compared to my Cherry MX Browns in my regular keyboard, but that's not a deal breaker for me. They are just not real "clicky," if you're expecting that.I particularly liked the horizontal layout; it is perfect for my intended purpose. The face is glossy white with a clear base. There are 4 non-skip rubber pads on the bottom. There are no lights.The unit measures about 4" x 1" x 1" approximately. The data cable attaches to the long side, which by default is on the top right. I turned mine upside down so the USB cable came out the bottom left, then took off the keycaps and turned those upside down as well.The included 1.5 meter cable is long enough to reach most desks to PCs. It's a flat ribbon, not round cable. It's USB to micro-USB.PROGRAMMING:Download the programming software from: https://osu.sayobot.cn/download/Tip: If you want, you can run this site thru "Google Translate" to see the English version of the page, or just click the big green button to download. The program itself can be switched to English in the menu.The programming software is visually intuitive and easy to use. You can make your 5 keys do anything you like, including single keystrokes and keystroke combinations (macros).Note: When I first attempted to use this programming software, it told me "Device not connected" even though I could type "1 2 3 4 5" in Notepad as the default keys. This was because my existing 104-key macro keyboard was interfering. So I plugged it into my laptop (which does not have a programmable keyboard) to program it.Macros/programmed keys are saved right on the unit, so once done, I re-plugged it back into my desktop. There is NO CONFLICT once programmed; I can use it and my regular keyboard at the same time. However, I will need to disconnect it and use my laptop again, if I ever want to change my macros/programmed keys.CONCLUSION:This quality little 5-key keypad adds 5 macro functions and/or personalized keys to any computer. It may have its programming quirks (as noted in this review), but if you are in need of something like this, I highly recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice - dedicated to displaying and toggling NumLock/CapsLock/ControlLock *by S***Y on January 31, 2025* I do a lot of keyboard and macropad remapping with AutoHotKey. Since I am always running out of physical keys, I often have to use, e.g. ScrollLock to toggle between vertical and horizontal scrolling. I sometimes use NumLock the way it was designed to be used, but sometimes remap it to a more useful key. I nearly always disable CapsLock, e.g. right now I remap CapsLock to Alt. But when AutoHotKey fails, things can get very messed up because one of the *Locks is logically pressed down.(In fact, I usually have Ctl+Alt+Shift+CapsLock mapped to an action that clears all logically stuck keys - not just the *Lock, but also the modifiers. Sometimes saves me having a reboot.)I'm not using this three key device to do much. But having it light up the different keys with red/green/blue for NumLock/CapsLock/ScrollLock, and then being able to use those keys to toggle the corresponding *Lock keys has been very convenient.---My main complaint: you program this device using the SayoDevice.com web-hid in your web-browser. I do rather wish it used standard QMK. The web config tool has some problems, not fully saving/restoring state - last I checked it round-tripped the programming but not the RGB LED light settings. The SayoDevice.com web tool is much better than the locally installed software for this device, and many similar. And certainly better than QMK for novice users. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little gizmo! *by A***T on February 26, 2022* Really nice little keypad. Great feeling keys, beautiful base, feels and looks great. The dual USB ports for different orientations is a thoughtful touch.The utility to program the thing is a bit odd, but it works well enough. Maybe I just wasn't expecting much after reading all the reviews but it seems fine if a bit quirky to me.It shows up in Windows and Linux as a regular HID keyboard, so it should work with any device that works with multimedia keyboards, no drivers required.Two criticisms:- would be nice to be able to save profiles so we can program the keypad for one task and then load a different profile for some other task. That seems pretty obvious and is glaringly missing, so minus 1 star for that, will update the review if they add the feature.- would be nice to be able to turn off the LEDs entirely. This might be possible playing with the various LED configs, but would be nice to have an "off" option for each LED on the "lighting" tab next to each LED's "mode".
