But I have to take the tealights out of their plastic or aluminum casing and put them in tin for safe burning. Twice I have had tealights in their plastic (the package said aluminum, but it looked like silver plastic) begin to melt the plastic, and now, I only use tealights in metal or glass holders. I really like the tin because it gives me peace of mind, because no matter how well you tend your candles, you can miss a flare-up that can melt the lesser holder (unless they are floating in water). The tin cups are re-usable, which is a bonus. Just lean any adhering wax gently with a scraper, and these last a long time. I have yet to have one wear out or look scruffy.
