Not much to describe - they hold the magnum of wine with room to spare, and have a good neck that makes it easy to hold while allowing cleaning and drying. We have a wide, round bottomed decanter that looks good and lots of air/wine contact, but it's a pain to clean. I really only clean with hot water - don't want those cellared wines tasting soapy - and the wide bottom has some etching in it that's impossible to remove. A common problem, apparently. The shape also requires comparatively little shelf room for storage. Two notes: 1. I'm not at all hung up that it's a "Cabernet" decanter. This will work well with any varietal. 2. I didn't buy this for magnums, I bought it for 750ml bottles. I think the 750ml size decanter is too small - a bottle almost fills it, so not a lot of air/wine contact.
