I didn’t research how this works or even if it actually works. That being said, I bought it because my dishwasher started smelling like fish after daily use for a year. I cleaned the filter and all but the smell didn’t completely go away. I used one tablet according to the instructions and the dishwasher smells fresh again. I guess I can maintain it more frequently so prevent the smell happening again but I’m not very domestic. I despise housework beyond cooking and baking. So there you go. Seems like working.

Affresh is developed by Whirlpool, so you may find that it's recommended by any of the nameplates under their corporate umbrella, Maytag, Kitchen Aid, Amana, etc. On an end note, don't neglect your clothes washer either! This is another work-horse of an appliance that's used several times a week in most households, and should also be maintained regularly. While Affresh also makes cleaning tablets for your Clothes Washer, I have been using a different brand (Spintide) which I can no longer find on Amazon, so I've just ordered some RENUV, so look for my review on that shortly.
