Exceptional Performance and Management for RV Networking!
The TP-Link TL-SG3428 JetStream 24-Port Gigabit L2+ Managed Switch with 4 SFP Slots is a powerhouse for my RV home office and entertainment setup! This switch offers 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports and 4 Gigabit SFP slots, delivering lightning-fast, reliable connections for my devices—laptops, smart TVs, and IoT gadgets—while boondocking or at campgrounds. Integrated with TP-Link’s Omada SDN platform, it supports centralized cloud management via the Omada app, allowing me to monitor and configure my network remotely with ease. Features like Zero-Touch Provisioning, L2/L3/L4 QoS, and IGMP Snooping ensure smooth streaming and VoIP calls, even with multiple devices connected. Setup was straightforward, with the included rackmount kit and web-based GUI making configuration a breeze, even for complex tasks like VLAN setup or static routing. The robust security features—IP-MAC-Port Binding, ACL, and DHCP Snooping—keep my network secure from threats, crucial for public campground Wi-Fi. The fanless design is a huge plus, keeping my RV quiet. My only minor note is that the web interface can be overwhelming due to its extensive options, but the Omada app simplifies most tasks. Priced around $150–$200, this switch outperforms pricier competitors like Cisco’s small business switches, offering enterprise-grade features at a fraction of the cost. For RVers or small business owners needing a scalable, high-performance network solution, the TL-SG3428 is a fantastic choice! Highly recommend!

Great 16 port managed switch that works with Omada SDN
Got this switch to work with TP-Link's OC200, ER7206 and APs through TP's Omada cloud based network management. I had to contact tech support to properly adopt the switch because my configuration is tricky with a lot of VLANs and net segmentation. It needs DHCP on the VLAN to properly adopt; afterwards, you can assign a static address and disable DHCP. After an hour of tech support and a firmware update out of the box, it has been dead reliable and easy to manage. It has every feature you'd want in a switch and when connected to Omada, insanely easy to manage.

Familiar management interface
Managing via the command line has a very IOS (Cisco) feel, which is greatly appreciated. One big caveat with using the web UI is that despite hitting the Save button for the parameters you are editing, you still need to save the overall running config. There's also a Java-based management tool I downloaded from their site but wasn't able to leverage because I don't see why it needs to run as root; it's literally a Java app. I did have difficulty with VLANs; I thought I only needed to add ports to VLANs, but it also required configuring PVID's. After that, it was smooth sailing. I do with the device would boot up quicker.

Silent & reliable
I first bought a TL-SG2428P, not realising how crazy loud & annoying the fans were. Though I did want the PoE functionality, it wasn't worth the noise. So I got this model (TL-SG3428) instead and haven't looked back. Granted, PoE functionality has to be added on separately, but there are lots of fanless options for that. It's run for months now without any problems. I manage it directly using its built-in web server, and in a minor way via SNMP. Everything works well. The web GUI is similar to other contemporary TP-Link switches & routers. It's a little hard to find things sometimes - there's so many configuration options, and it's not always intuitive as to where they are in the navigation hierarchy. Overall I'm really happy with it. I think it's good value too, compared to the other options I've been able to find.

Great switch for your home/small office network
This is a great value if you are looking to enhance your home network. I picked this item for the 4 x sfp+ 10gig ports that I need to make everything in my home network run smoothly. If you have a couple switches in your home or small office, get the sfp+ ports so you can connect your networking gear with fiber (if possible). I combined this with a PoE switch by the same manufacturer to help cut down on bottlenecks in my home network traffic.

Good value, good performance
In my switch (heh) over to TP-Link and Omada management, I discovered this as a good replacement for the switch at my desk, where things at my desk connect to my network. It replaced a 7 port unmanaged switch of another brand and I was happy that it wasn't all that much bigger. Having some management means I can test some extra things out and use it in other ways, and I get an extra port. Most importantly, devices connected to it, through my other Omada 2.5G switch, and to my gigabit internet get the full gigabit internet speed. As of now, I don't need a 2.5G switch in this place, so the gigabit speed is fine. Overall satisfied. Will keep things going in this ecosystem.

Very nice, works as expected. SFP+ ports are a godsend for fast connectivity to servers in my homelab. No product issues till now writing after 1.3 year.

For the price point, this switch offers lots of versatility and throughput. Has a good number of 1gig ports plus a few 10gig ports for an uplink and a couple of faster devices. Runs silently and integrates perfectly with the Omada ecosystem and has many L2 and L3 features. The only trade-off is that it doesn't have any PoE ports but that was not an issue at all for me.
