1TB Aura N2 NVMe Solid State Drive Compatible with Select 2013 and Later Macs

After I realized that my 2017 Macbook Air (Monterey) was no longer supported for the latest updates for Microsoft Office Suites and TurboTax 2024, I bought a 2024 M4 Mac Mini to be able to do my taxes. I then decided that I will not retire my trusty Macbook Air. Instead, I embarked on a mission to upgrade it with a 2TB external SSD and a MacOS update to the Sequoia using the Open Core Legacy Patch (OCLP); with these two successfully updated, I can now focus on replacing the original 500GB SSD internal disc with a 1 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus. I encountered compatibility issues with it, so I returned and found this 1TB gem by OWC. It didn't require an adapter as did the Samsung SSD and it worked like a champ. The SSD was very competitively priced, installed easily and I was able to refresh my 8 year old Macbook Air (8GB RAM/Intel I7) into something I can use for years to come. It still looks and feels new. It now performs better than ever.

Good price and works succeful

Excellent quality; seems faster than the 256 GB that was original; 1 TB lots of storage; Replaced the ssd in my Trash Can Mac Pro and I think was a good value.

Great replacement for my failed SSD. Installed and recognized via the recovery utility. 30 min later I was up and running. Worked well for my Late 2015 Macbook Pro A1502.

Working

There was a bit to set up with backing up, getting a clean install including the updated MacBook firmware with the correct OS upgrade... But it worked!

OWC is great to work with. Their videos clearly show how to do the installation. Kept an old MacBook Pro running for a few more years at least.

I didn't experience any issues with it especially while installing Monterey OSX. It's quite pricey too but it is the best, most compatible option for my MacBookAir 2016 model.

I changed my MacBook Air SSD of 128Gb to this one with one Tb and my oldie is as a newborn baby. The price of this was not cheap, but first of all it works. That's important for me. Yes, you can buy this if you know how to change your SSD and initiate your system after the change. Otherwise you just need to learn the proper procedure.

値段だけを言えばもう少し安い製品はありそうですが、アダプターなどを介すると動作不良のときに接点が不安になるので、とにかく単純作業で確実に動いてくれそうな製品ということで選びました。海外からなので3週間ちょっとで到着。急ぎではなかったので途中経過のメールもあり問題ありませんでした。きちんと動作しています。あとは長く使えれば言うことありません。

En mi Mac book pro de 2015 no detectaba la SSD simplemente instalandola. Tuve que descargar macOS high siera y dejarlo en un pendrive, luego inicias pulsando la tecla Alt sin soltar y ya sigues los pasos. Por lo demás muy contento la tarjeta y como va el ordenador, el espacio extra. Todo bien.

Aun recomendado por un profesional de apple no me sirvio en mi caso.
