The chair doesnt seem to have good back support. Has that caused any issues for your kids?

No, my kid has never had any issues with her back while sitting in the chairs. You are correct that it doesn't have much support, but honestly my kid doesn't really sit in it long enough for it to start hurting her.

Hi, does anyone have an issue with the chair --the fact that there is no middle slat on this model? Any issues with lack of back support?

I have a 3.5 and 1.5 year old that use this table every day. The chairs are small enough that there doesn't seem to be any lack of back support. My kids have abused this table and it's still standing strong. We've had it for about 2 years and I will occasionally have to tighten the legs, but otherwise, it's been great!

Would this work for a 15 month old?

I believe so. I just measured them and from the floor to the seat part of the chair is 10 inches and from the seat to the table is 9 inches. My 18 month fits and my 7 year old I had originally purchased them for still fits :)

Can the table be stained? We have espresso furniture, and would like the table to match. We love the colorful chairs though.

No idea what espresso furniture is, but the table will not stain. Although the kids don't drink espresso at it.
