Received last week and it was so useful to repair a quilt for a friend, made the job much easier. Many useful features at the touch of a button, other items easily found and put to use. Got this for great price and I will get much use from it. Update on July 6, 2023 - My new sewing machine is now out of order. It powers on, but ANY button you touch results in a beep. I have attempted to contact Juki but had to leave a message with tech support. So at this point I have no idea what may come about. Funny how easy to buy, but getting support is always the issue. Update on July 8, 2023 - I still have not heard back from Juki tech support. I have left message to return call, but so far nothing. July 10, 2023 - Made contact with Juki tech support and the man was extremely good and very nice and walked me through correcting the issue. I very happy.

A lot better machine out there for a lot less money. I ordered this machine 5 times from amazon before one was delivered. Strange , never happened before. Be on the way with tracking and then go into a black hole never to be heard from again. Amazon always refunded money. In this waiting process I bought a Janome Mod 50. Great machine. LCD screen makes sense on how to control machine, more room around needle area for your hands. Not near enough power. Have to hand wheel through flat felt seams on denim hems. Reviews for the juki HLZ-80hp said it had a very powerful motor. It does not. Maybe not as good as the Janome or certainly no better. Juki had more complicated LCD screen and controls, A needle threader that is the worst I have ever seen. I am not saying the juki is junk but I bought the Janome for half the price of the Juki and feel like it is a better machine. I do not understand why some body does not put a powerful motor in this class of sewing machine. 1200 watt motors are common in industrial machines , 100 watt motors are almost impossible to find in home machines. Lots of room between those two numbers.

The Juki brand was recommended to me by a friend who is a professional fashion designer. This machine is very impressive with the options it offers and the ease of use, even for someone returning to home sewing after a long hiatus. Easy to follow video instructions are included along with the written booklet in 3 languages.

The lettering is not nice at all, it’s not consistent in size or clarity. The rest of the functions are great for basic sewing and beginners, I am having my daughters use the machine to learn on.

The company selling this product on amazon misrepresented this product. This product is not working well, we called Juki support and they said the machine is used. This machine is listed new on amazon.
