So I love this watch so far but
The hour and minute hands are clear. And have little white tips. So it can be hard to read. Doesn’t glow in the dark. So if it’s dark you will not be able to read the time without a light. Is water proof but don’t take a bath in it or a very long shower. It’s an awesome watch that keeps on going. And it’s an attention getter and a beautiful time piece to wear. It’s automatic so with the movement of the wrist it will keep it ticking for years to come. Fossil makes truly quality products that can stand the test of time. But with the Relic Damon Automatic. You’re going to have to care for it. Take it off when showering. Wind it about 3 rotations to 15 a day. And treat it like it’s a Rolex and it will last you for a very long time. There is no battery. So you will never have to worry about your time piece going dead on you. If you can get past you can’t read it in the dark. And it will take a little learning curve to learn how to read it. It’s a beautiful design and a wonderful time peace with a beautiful mechanical display front and back. This watch will serve its purpose and you will look good wearing it for years to come.

My new favorite watch
This watch is beautiful, it’s the first automatic watch I’ve owned and it comes at a very competitive price point. The automatic movement doesn’t necessarily hold its “charge” for a long time, if I leave it sitting for more than a day it stops ticking but that’s not a big deal. I will say that the watch looks darker in person, compared to its pictures. It looks like a lighter shade of grey in pictures but when I got it, it seemed a little more black/ dark gunmetal. Still a beautiful time piece.

2 weeks in, looking and feeling WONDERFUL!
Very nice watch! As of writing this review I've used this watch for about 2 weeks, Very nice time keeper, losing about 5 seconds over 2 days. The automatic winding is very smooth, I haven't manually wound this watch for the past week and the spring is still nice and tight. Lots of compliments! All the components are easy to see and the watch is so see through I could bring it up to my eye and clearly make out my father's face through it from just a few feet away. I've attached a photo of the watch against a white display to help showcase this along with the rest of the photos. the ONE thing is the watch is I can see about the complaints about it being hard to read, the hand are a bit thin but for me it's not a problem. The hands do glow by the way but it's only where the white paint is so it's dull. Overall, great watch! Worth the money big time.

This is a great watch
I love the looks of automatic skeleton watches! This is my second. When the first would no longer wind, I decided to get another. I really liked the look of this one. I haven't been disappointed! I've had several complements about how nice the watch looks. It has kept incredibly accurate time for a manual watch. One of the things I learned with the first watch was how to place it overnight. I don't know the reason, but you need to place the watch on the crown. If you lay the watch flat, it will lose a great amount of time overnight. By placing the watch on the crown, I've only lost about half a minute every three days or so. My only complaint is the hands are difficult to see in low light. I would have preferred some color other than silver which blends in with the workings of the watch. I highly recommend this watch!

Excellent Value for Money, Keeps Time Well
I was quite unsure when I bought this watch, because I had read certain reviews. There seemed to be quality control issues, and if you got a good one you were in good shape, but that it was a crapshoot. However, many of the main complaints that I read were from many years ago, so my hope was that they had had time to iron out the kinks. I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that it works perfectly! I've been wearing it daily for months now. It keeps time very well, and the "auto-wind" functionality is perfect. I genuinely couldn't be happier. And on top of all of that, it looks GREAT! Sometimes I enjoy just watching the little flywheel snap back and forth, it's quite mesmerizing. I also found that the "band squeaking" complaint is not an issue. After wearing it for just a day, giving it a chance to break itself I'm, there was no longer any band noise. I have not tested the waterproof-ness, because I'm not willing to risk destroying it. I just take it off before showers or swimming. There is no backlight or glowing material, so it's difficult to read in low light. These are small complaints, all things considered. I definitely recommend this watch for anybody looking for a really handsome, mechanical watch without breaking the bank. I will likely get another one after this one breaks. (Providing it lasts long enough)

Needs to be tuned
Watch is nice enough. Yes it needs to be wound regularly if you don’t wear it on a daily basis. However, the watch I received loses approximately 5 minutes a day and I will need to take it for tuning. Overall I enjoy it as a statement piece, I do wish the band was a little longer since I have relatively thick wrists.

Beautiful and comfortable, a great value watch
Just got this great watch and loving it. Great size for a man and feels great on the wrist. It looks great is a great value for and automatic winding watch. My only issue is the hands are super thin and makes it harder to read the time if you don’t have perfect vision, especially since the background gears anre exposed.

Great looks, reliability poor
I own several nice men's Fossil brand watches (Relics parent company) and have been happy with all of them. I'm going to start with the problems, because if a watch doesn't function, then its purely jewelry. First, the biggest problem is apparently a design flaw that allow moisture to enter the watch. I suspect moisture is entering through the "stem". Once inside, this will cause a fogging effect under the watch face that comes and goes . I have not submerged this watch at all, I have washed my hands with the watch on without running water directly on the watch. This is the second Relic watch of this style that has done this condensation, the other being a silver banded version of same watch. My wife had to return that one to a local department store. I thought I would give this one another try since I liked the watch concept and looks. The complete deal breaker is now the watch will not keep time. It will stop after a fews hours even after manually winding the spring. I did notice the band on the version "squeaks" after a few days of wear. I put a little oil in between the links and it went away. All in all, the watch had such promise but it falls short in functionality. I think those of us who like the automatic concept would at least want a working watch.
