Great gift and good for fun for in the car too!
We got this for my daughter for a birthday gift after she played with one at a friend's house and loved it. It was a good toy to have fun and use your brain. ;). The adults liked playing it too! She's brought it in the car and enjoyed playing it during car rides as well. There were some moments where she got very frustrated when "losing" and needing to start over. This could be something to consider if your child gets easily frustrated or doesn't have good frustration tolerance yet. But, in the end, I think it was another opportunity for my daughter to practice her frustration tolerance and grow in that area. We got this for my 11-year-old who loves it, but her younger siblings (6&8) play it too. I like that it is good for a wide range of ages, but the 7/8-12 age range might enjoy it best. Though, the adults we had over to celebrate her birthday enjoyed it too! She did play with it more right after she got it and until she was able to get to the end, but she does still play with it from time to time, especially in the car.
