I was shocked when I discovered how easy it actually was to replace these on my Dolphin. It is important to follow the included instructions exactly as they are stated so you don't ruin the rings. I wish I had replaced these two years ago because they really improved the performance of my robot. My pool walls are getting cleaned again now that it is able to climb the walls again. The pool is also getting cleaned faster now that the robot doesn't get stuck somewhere in the pool. Though they are expensive for what they are, they do really improve the performance of your robot to "like new" performance.

Nice & soft, they usually last about two years before needing replacement.

Last swimming season I could tell the original foam rings were getting worn, but the dolphin was still climbing the walls so I waited until this year when it began to struggle at the waterline. After I installed these (super easy by the way - just grab a straight screwdriver if you have a newish unit) not only does it climb with ease again, but it also rarely gets stuck on the drain now! Last season even when it was climbing the walls alright, it would get stuck on our main drains all the time - so frustrating! But with the new rings it's a rare event now when it does get stuck. That'll now be my trigger for buying replacement rings next time.

We have a Dolphin Sigma pool robot. We've only recently learned that once these foam rings drop below the edge of the gray rubber treads, they lose the ability to grip the pool surface and must be replaced. The robot kept getting stuck on the main drains (we have two), whether the pool pump was on or off. It's traction was limited and it was slow traveling along the bottom of the pool. It could still climb the walls, but infrequently and barely out of the water. We replaced the white foam rings. What a difference! The robot zips along the bottom of the pool, climbs way out of the pool to scrub the tiles, and doesn't get stuck on the main drains anymore! Wish we'd figured this out sooner.

After a couple of years I realized my Maytronics Dolphin was no longer climbing the walls as it used to, and couldn't figure out why. That inspired me to actually read the owner manual, and I discovered these foam rings are essential for wall crawling. I never really noticed the wear on the old rings, but it was very apparent as soon as I compared the new and the old side by side. Installation was very simple, just a few minutes to replace all four, and now the Dolphin is once again climbing the walls. Docked one star because 40 bucks seems a little steep for four pieces of foam.

Did not know that I needed to replace these robot rings. After replacing the rings my robot now climbs the pool walls again. It works like it is new again. Easy to replace, just cut old rings off and slide new ones over the end of rollers and snap back in.

Rings orderd September 2022. Installed, cleaner worked excellently till November 20, 2022. Two rings found in bottom of pool. Upon inspection they were gritty and disintegrating in your hand. These were a replacement for a less expensive brand 'guaranteed to fit and work'. They lasted approxamitly the same length of time...either way $15 or $23 is darn expensive for poly fluff and to only last 3-4 months. Shame on you folks!
