Mix into any acrylic paint to enhance the depth of color intensity, increase transparency, gloss, ease flow of paint and add flexibility and adhesion of paint film. Use as a nonremovable varnish to protect painting and establish gloss sheen surface. Translucent when wet, transparent when dry. Dries to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface that is resistant to dirt retention. Depending upon substrate, allows moisture to pass through (breathable). Will not crack as surface expands and contracts during temperature and humidity changes. Not for use over oil paint.Thanks,Bill WrightTreyco **Q: Can I use this to seal my daughters crayola canvas paintings?** A: If the paintings are with Crayola crayons then no, the acrylic will not adhere.. if they are crayola poster paints then a spray varnish must be used. The first coat or two should be very light to prevent bleeding. **Q: Can this be used in collage to make the image adhere to the paper? or is there a better thing to use for that?** A: It could be used to adhere a paper to another paper or a paper to a background of wood or canvas. I don't know whether it would be the best product for that purpose, though. **Q: Can you use this in an acrylic and silcone pour painting and do you still need to seal it with this or another product?** A: You should use a product like this to seal any porous surface. Substrates like wood, for instance, tend to drink paints, silicones and resins if they arent sealed. If you are not using resin, i would use a polycrylic to seal it after your pour. Used normally in fairly small amounts it completely pushes the gloss down into a dead flat. If increased in amount it will create a more transparent colour. But if you over use this medium expect to see so your paint appear a bit lighter in value. That whitish look is just a product of how matte medium works. And that’s normal. Thing is, most matte mediums don’t produce that whitish effect because they usually don’t contain enough of that material to really work reliably. This one does! I’ve tried so many as a studio art teacher. Use it in appropriate amounts and you’ll get a perfect result and you'll find the bottle will last a pretty long time.
