Very sturdy - nice product.
I'm very pleased - this is a nice bit of equipment. I chose it over others because of the weight - over 60 Lbs vs 50 lbs or less for most of the lesser priced units. It's mainly because the tubing is thicker on this unit - 2mm vs 1.5mm for most others. Even the 2mm is not all that heavy duty, those others must be like tin foil. I have seen others mention wobble but that must be due to improper assembly or uneven floor surface, because this is very sturdy with no wobble at all and I weigh 185 lbs.Instructions are WAY overcomplicated, the single most important keys to assembling this are just the two base pieces and the 2 upright pieces labeled L and R. Step 1 should just be mount upright L to one of the base pieces (base pieces are identical, use either) by inserting the 4 mounting bolts from the BOTTOM of the base piece and lining up those bolts with the holes in the upright piece L. Start the lock nut onto those mounting bolts so they don't slip out of place, then turn that section (now a unit comprised of the base piece plus the upright piece) onto it's side and TIGHTEN ALL 4 BOLTS as tightly as you can. Repeat that with the other base piece and upright R.Now you have the critical foundation already lined up and very secure - those two base pieces and the two uprights L and R form the "skeleton" to which the rest of the unit can be attached and tightened.Step 2 would be to place those two sections L and R you just assembled across from each other (obviously you want to keep the L and R on the correct side) and maneuver the bracing bars into place. One person can EASILY do this, the L and R sections you firmly assembled are very stable. You can just slide them on the floor as needed to get the spacing required to position the bracing bars into place. Insert the mounting bolts for each of those bracing bars but DON'T tighten them completely yet.THEN you put all the other pieces onto the "skeleton" and tighten EVERYTHING as tightly as possible. The instructions tell you to mount the arms and pads first, and to NOT tighten the base until the end of the assembly but the problem with that is once you get all the pieces together it is impossible to keep things in line as you tighten the bolts for the base because you HAVE to be able to access the BOTTOM of it and you can imagine trying to tilt that entire assembly from side to side to reach those bolts, OF COURSE it is never going to be stable because everything is flopping around as you try to tighten all the bolts!Do it the way I point out and as long as your floor surface is level you should have a very solid unit indeed. My unit fit together very well and is solid as a rock. I am very happy, glad I spent a little extra to get a heavier unit and I cannot imagine this will not last me as long as I need it. Well worth the money.

After extensive research, looked like the highest-value Power Tower. No doubt, it's a front-runner.
I totally love this thing.First off, I should point out that I'm not a tall or heavy guy--around Tom Cruise size but lighter with less and worse hair. If you're a lot bigger maybe my review might be off some; however, it took me a long, long time to settle on this particular unit, and in the process of settling on it, I did extensive research. Even quite large guys seemed to be nearly universally completely satisfied with it.I like how easy it is to alter the height, as I'm using it in a garage under a garage door. It has every exercise that I wanted in a Power Tower, specifically, a pull-up/chin-up bar, an adjustable leg raise station, dip bars, and elevated push-up grab handles. Also, just as important to me, it isn't fitted out with any gimmicks or nonsense. This tower is simple, sturdy, and basic yet complete. I love that the pull-up/chin-up bar isn't attached centrally, but instead in two places, near each end of the bar. This makes it, in my case, an extremely solid overhead bar for attaching length-adjustable gymnastic rings, Fitarc neutral grips, a TRX suspension trainer, a Body Solid dog bone grip, and fat bar grips near each end. The bar length is such that it remains grabbable at every intended spot after storing only the neutral grips. The rings and the TRX hang backwards out-of-the-way behind the tower when not in use.For me, this power tower is totally solid and unshakeable, including when using a dipping belt (which takes Olympic weights) to increase my body weight. It does seem like a decent feature that the handles and armrests are tilted some on the leg lift station, not to mention, that it's super nice that the backrest is in-and-out adjustable. ( I especially love that I can move the backrest so far back and the handles so far forward that my back is well clear of the backrest while doing leg raises and similar stuff). So, reiterating, after reading seemingly countless possible power towers reviews (far more than just the Amazon ones) over many days, I felt very confident buying this particular power tower, and after a decent amount of use, my decision feels fully validated. For the money, I think it's a terrific value. In all respects, I love this thing and can't recommend it enough, especially when its price is considered versus its apparent quality and excellent functionality. As of today, after a couple weeks of use, I'm 100% totally satisfied.

Good quality but not a smooth assist
First off the product was packaged extremely well and once put together it was very sturdy. I like how there is multiple different exercises I can accomplish on it.However the instructions are hard to understand. Meaning that yes it labels some of the screw parts you use within each step but not how many and the screw needed in the picture is so small that it is hard to see what direction it goes. On top of that just step 1 and step 2 in the instruction booklet don’t match the video in the product description. The instructions show to install the base bracket and base connector first but the video shows to do the virtual tubes with the base brackets first. Plus the instructions show to install the M10*65 screw with washer at the bottom of the base brackets and the nut on top of the bracket but the video shows them installing one facing up and one facing down and then the next clip of the finished connection in the video shows them all installed facing down. Very inconsistent. So the instruction booklet and the instruction video do not match at all right from the start. Some of the preinstalled roller wheels on the assist assembly roll while the others do not. In my case, 2 of the 4 wheels on the left pole rolls while the other 2 don’t budge. Same issue on the right pole. I tried losing up the screw/nut and tried some lubricant but didn’t resolve it.The assist is not smooth at all. It’s very jerky going up and it doesn’t lift you back to the top where you started. Something I’ll have to get used to as compared to the commercial model machines as the gym that lift all the way up and down with ease with you.All that aside it’s a very nice machine for the price. You get what you paid for. Will continue to use this in my current weekly routine.

This thing seems well worth what I paid for it.
I have had this power tower for almost two weeks now and tonight was the first time I got to really get in a good workout on it.Despite what other reviews may say I have found it to be incredibly sturdy and stable. I weigh 255 pounds and I can stand on the middle bar and do negative chin ups of a sort where I let my arms all the way out and hang forward off of the machine, then curl my biceps to bring myself back up to the bar. I'm working my way up to doing real chin ups but this is all I can manage right now at my starting point. The moral of the story though is that the machine does not feel tippy at all until I get all the way out from the bar, and then it still doesn't really move. I am not recommending that anyone do this particular move, just demonstrating the stability of the unit.Dips do not really flex the dip handles. They seem sturdy and secure. I kind of wish there was a low bar of some kind for doing Australian rows but that's just because it seems more like doing a pull up. I have been doing the Australian rows with the dip handles anyway and I definitely feel that it's working out my back. One day I will be able to do real pull ups but we all gotta start somewhere. The roman chair for doing leg lifts is one of the main reasons that I purchased this piece of equipment. I have minor back issues and traditional sit ups or crunches really make my back seem to lock up in some very unpleasant way. With this machine I can get a better ab workout and it doesn't seem to bother my back nearly as much as crunches. One negative is that the uprights that hold the pull up bar seem to limit the grip variation available on the tower. I can do wide pull up position and chin up position but as a large framed man I cannot do a close grip pull up on the machine. This is a really moot point as I can't do a close hand pull up anyway but may be interesting to some.I had no trouble whatsoever assembling the unit in about forty minutes with minimal references to the instructions. This is not the first time I have ever held a tool so YMMV.This is my first power tower and the very beginning of my journey with calisthenics so I don't really know what I'm doing but I feel like I got a very decent price on a very decent piece of equipment that should serve me well for a long time.I am entirely confident that repeated and prolonged use of this power tower could be beneficial to my health. Buying it won't do anything for you. You actually have to use the thing.

Read 100 reviews before purchasing - bought it - love it - here's what you need to know...
So I'm not kidding when I say I read 100+ reviews just because you need to get a sense of people's rating criteria - some people go 5-star even when they're missing a part because the company was responsive, some people go 1-star when everything is good because it wasn't exactly what they expected.RATING: I'm giving this a solid 5-star overall rating - the only reason I put 4-stars for the individual stuff is that I'm comparing it to legit gym equipment, so by that standard it's slightly less solid, but still 100% would recommend. I'm 5'10 160lb and it works exactly how you would expect it to. Is there a sway/wobble? A little bit, hardly noticeable and only really happens when I'm doing like cross-fit style pull ups and really swinging - when I'm controlled I barely feel it move and haven't even felt the need to put weights/sandbags or anything on it.ASSEMBLY: I assembled this alone, it took about 1.5 hours but I was by no means hustling. I used a ratchet, which I can confidently say if I did not have I think my rating would likely be much lower (just guessing because I used the ratchet to tighten the hell out of all of the bolts and I highly highly doubt I would have been able to do that with the little shoddy wrench they give you). With a ratchet I can confidently say everything is very sturdy, without one, I'm not sure.Yes, everyone is correct in saying the bolts are not clearly organized - here's a trick I did - get a pen and just label the different bolts before you open them, that way you're not translating "N25-G-269" and saying "ooo that's the long bolt" because the sizing isn't reflective in their diagrams. So I'd prelabel the bolts (I did not, and added some extra time when I got near the end, panicked that I had used the wrong screws, and started unscrewing different places to spot check only to realize I'd done it correctly.)The set-up itself is extremely straightforward as there are only like 5 pieces to put together. Probably easier with two people but I had zero issues with one. Height is adjustable so should be fine with most heights.TIPS: 1. Pre-label the bolts so you can stay organized. 2. use a ratchet.

Bang for the buck, but while it will hold the weight it claims it's wobbly
At 225lbs 6'1" this stand was wobbly and small. It worked really well for my children < 15 years old.Additionally the frame at the top is positioned exactly where you'd put your hands for pull ups.

Function vs Quality
I purchased and received the assist version of SportsRoyals power tower on Dec 16, 2023.I’m am writing this review 2 weeks after I assembled and started using it.Before purchase I had read most of the recent and top rated reviews and found them very insightful. But, I also noticed opinions varied based on expectation, fitness routine and stature.so, this is my 6 foot 225 pound moderately active opinion. The shipping box looked smaller than expected and weighted 86 pounds. The contents were tightly and securely packed. There is no user guide, and what many people have reported as terrible assembly instructions is really an exploded view of components. So, it helps with assembly but not well. I struggled until I realized the manufacture put an assembly video on Amazon. Short and not perfect but, using it in conjunction with the so-called assembly instructions, it was understandable. From the time I moved the shipping box into the house, assembled and cleaned up afterwards 4 hours had passed. I took my time, made no mistakes and used every part and fastener supplied. I’d call success. When looking at pictures that some reviewers have submitted, I noticed equipment structure was not always of the same design. Those reporting the most shake or flex where made with round tubular steel frames. Strong but hard to attach support arms to. The one pictured and I received was made with squared tubular steel and has an “H” style base. Not the triangular base some pictures show. Guessing the manufacture has recently re-designed the tower to address stability (Shake and Flex). The Amazon site says the tower supports 440 pounds, however, the so-called assembly instruction states 330 pounds. Could it be the result of the re-design? I can confirm that the top pull-up bar connection does creak under my weight as reported, but it doesn’t bother me or seem excessive or dangerous.I included a video. Notice there is minimal flexing. A result of the squared tubular steel I suspect. The steel is thinner than I expected which became noticeable during assembly. Do not tighten the bolts beyond tightly snug or the tubular steel will start to buckle-in. To be fair I have a tendency to over torque everything. I compared this tower with the commercial brand Hoist. There is no comparison in quality. The Hoist is many times stronger but also many times more expensive. Actually 4 times more with no assist. The questions is, when is strong, strong enough. The SportRoyal would never hold up in a commercial fitness center. But probably good enough for my home gym.I needed the pull-up assist to get my muscles started, and it functions as others have said. Not the smoothest movement but, it does what it’s meant to do. However, the seat is completely and totally in the wrong position for assisted dips. Online specifications say each of the 4 assist bands is 22 Lbs, 88 total. I tested this by placing two 45 pound weight lifting plates on the seat. This 90 pounds lowered the seat 75% of the way down. Removing 1 plate, 45 Lbs, raised the seat 75% of the way back up. So, I would call this spec accurate and not bad for functioning with bungees.Prior to purchase I could not figure out how the assist seat converted to a back support. So, I included the change-over in the video. Easy to do after a couple of tries. The manufacturer must have been concerned that the pulleys on the assisted seat bungee system would bottom out and get damaged. So, they included what they’re calling an anti-crash support. A rod that stick up from the H base frame. I included it in the video. Easy to remove or install but very dangerous. If you forget to remove it and you lose grip when the seat is in the backrest position, you could impaled yourself. In conclusion:The manufacturer designed a functional and well thought out power tower that gives me the exercises I wanted, accept for assisted dips. The build quality is consistent with what I expected for home equipment. The relatively low cost and light weight allowed me to try, lift and afford the purchase. I don’t expect the assist bungee system to last forever, but, it should last long enough until I don’t need it anymore. There are no other low cost towers with assist that I could find. Yes the top pull-up bar can be set at several heights but don’t expect it to be a regular adjustment, it’s too difficult for that. Also, the assisted seat travel length is fixed which makes the pull-up bar height dependent on it. All-in-all I would purchase this power tower again.

Immancabile in qualunque home gym
