Are there other editions available with wooden pawns? I would have bought this but don't want plastic pawns.

Carola - GoCalendars sells this item, we can verify if it has wooden pawns or plastic for you. Would you like us to follow up?

Are the board and pawns the same as what is pictured? I know the pawns are plastic, but are they a solid plastic?

Yes, everything is as pictured. Unfortunately, the plastic pawns are not solid, making them vulnerable to tipping over during the game. I am thinking about filling them with a solid substance, perhaps modeling clay, to give them more weight. Wooden pawns would be preferable.

Are the pawns made of wood or plastic?

Plastic. I ordered this product thinking it was wood. Was a little disappointed but I got it for my father and he was happy with it.
