Ensure full power for your mobile devices during long drives with this Anker ROAV Bolt car charger. It’s compatible with Google Assistant for voice-controlled navigation and music streaming, and it supports versatile connectivity via Bluetooth, and auxiliary port. This Anker ROAV Bolt car charger’s compact, lightweight design offers convenient portability and storage. Review: Terrible - Total dud. It would pair with my phone via Bluetooth and then nothing else worked. Couldn't even do the set-up process. Review: Useful device - Just what I was looking for. My car has no bluetooth connection and using Google Assistant directly in the phone is not a good option while driving. This gadget solved both issues perfectly. I'm giving 5 stars (I'd give it 4.7) because the firmware couldn't be updated directly with my Android phone... I had to borrow an iPhone from a friend in order to update it. Recommended.

Not sure if legitimate
The placement of the audio output and charging ports is such that I'd be able to use one, or the other, with the charing port location on my car, meaning I'd never be able to use this product and charge my phone at the same time. That alone was annoying, but not enough to return, but after 2 hours of troubleshooting, I can't get it to even connect via Bluetooth to an android phone. It's available to pair on around a quarter of scans, but has never successfully paired. Anker isn't even spelled right on the Amazon product page. I'm not sure I received a legitimate product. For $50, this is absolutely being returned.

Best Option But...
This thing works great. However, the mic could be better for calls.

Doesn’t play well with Apple
Ordered 2 for older vehicles. Could not get them to show up or pair with multiple devices. They did pair with one android phone. It’s not a Google problem, those same Apple devices work with all my other Google gadgets.

It actually does what it claims to do
I bought this forever ago finally put it in my 2013 F-150 that only has sync2 so I don't get Android Auto or CarPlay I Bluetooth my phone to this and no matter how loud the music is or what I'm doing all I got to do is say hey Google I can call get navigation and answer and reply to texts.

Item is not working correctly
Good quality, but the product is not working correctly. Can't update the software. When I use the Google phrase the product does not react. I have to push the button on the Roav to give an instruction.

Great when it works, but software is buggy and broken
I've had this for a year and it worked great for both music and calls. Calls are ok, not great, but good enough and very dependable. Doesn't cut out. Connects quickly and quietly, just a light beep. Here's the only problem and the biggest problem with it... The software is broken at least with iphones. To install this, you will have to install it using GOOGLE ASSISTANT APP. From the app, it will discover it and you just need to follow the steps to connect it to your phone and car. For a fresh install, meaning first time installing it to your iphones, it will connect and install easily. BUT, if you happen to lose or remove this from your bluetooth list on your phone for some reason, like you accidentally removed it, or you upgraded your phone and restored from your old phone's backup, you will not be able to reinstall this device at all. You can do all the troubleshooting like reinstalling GOOGLE ASSISTANT APP, resetting the device to factory settings, or even replacing it with a new one like I did (I bought a new one), if your iphone has this installed before and it got removed, GOOGLE ASSISTANT WILL NOT re-discover it anymore. THE ONLY WAY, literally THE ONLY WAY to be able to install it again on your phone, is to completely WIPE OUT your iphone to factory settings, DELETE your phone basically (not restoring from a IOS old backup), you have to completely wipe out your phone as if it's NEW. That is the only way GOOGLE ASSISTANT APP will discover this device again. There is something about IOS that if this device gets installed once, it leaves something in your phone that stops you from discovering it again. I contacted ROAV and they tried to help but none of their help worked. This is a known BUG with this device. Even if you buy another new one, it will still not discover it. Other than that, it works great!
