Bought this in 2021, and This card is still working fine (2023 FEB). Getting 10Gbps speed? No problem. No OverHeating problems like Old 10GbE NICs No Driver installation is required for Windows, Linux, and BSD. Things you need to do. The device Firmware needs to update. (Get the driver update utility from Marvell for aqc107 type) Don't use TP-Link Old Driver. (Windows 11 Ships Newer Driver!) Tested with Both iPerf and OpenSpeedTest-Server! Continuous SpeedTest for 1 hour! It never dropped the speed. Problems The FreeBSD driver is Alpha Quality. There will be a significant drop-in Speed. It is not recommended for Production. ESXi VMs may experience connectivity issues it will automatically work after a Host Restart. This is not recommended for ESXi but ok for HomeLab, and you can restart Host anytime. Out-of-the-box speed. Windows 10 and 11 9400+ Ubuntu 9500+ Unraid 9800+ Esxi host 9500+ FreeBSD 9400. For continuous speed tests using OpenSpeedTest, it dropped to 5400 & 7400. The driver for FreeBSD is really bad. It may get better after some time, but when I tested it, that wasn't good. If you change the MTU size to 9000 you will get more speed.

I bough two of these TX401 to establish a 10 GbE connection b/w my workstation and NAS. My workstation is primarily a hackintosh with windows for gaming while the NAS is a self-assembled unit on Ryzen 5 3600 + B450 running Ubuntu 20.04 on ZFS. The chipset on the device is Aquantia AQC(N?)107. Both the NAS and the workstation have independent 1 GbE connectivity to the rest of the devices via a router. macOS and Ubuntu 20.04 have out of the box support. macOS will require spoofing to pretend that this is an authorized card. Windows 10 will require driver installation. I connect the two devices directly using the included cable for 10 GbE and do not route the connection via a router or switch. iPerf 3 can easily saturate the link to 9.5 Gbps. I ran the test for 60 minutes and this card did not hiccup at all. Temps were also fine at 50-60C in a corsair 400R and a Fractal Design Define 7. Though that still bears caution because this test was done in winters when ambient is <20C. Summers will decide on whether the thermal design of this card is good or bad. I also ran a disk speed test from my workstation to a SATA SSD (850 Evo) in the NAS and the connection easily maintained 450 MBps+. All in all - very good. Cheapest and easily available 10 GbE NIC in India. Longevity still remains a question because I have had both the card for less than a month.

I installed it for my truenas scale system and it worked oob without any need for drivers or software. Must buy if your home network can take advantage of the 10 gbit capability

Amazing product. Actual 10gbps. Manages the data transfer very well and reduces the load on the cpu.

Intermittent Disconnection when using at 10gig speed

Device is working way above expectation. Stable download and upload speed. After latest driver is installed, all is set. No particular settings needed for basic use. If some advance option is needed, will need to configure in the device settings which is handy and easy to manage. This device with Marvell Aqc107 chipset is more stable than the other brand I tried first which has a Marvell Aqc113c chipset that keeps dropping the transfer speed down to below 2Gbps. Bought 2 items. Unfortunately, the other one device has problem. It keeps changing to 5.0 gbps or 2.5 gbps at random automatically. I have to return the other device that has a problem. I believe the device with problem was just a one off issue, and is not likely common for this device brand and model. Bought additional 2 more items, one to replace the returned device and another one for the third PC, currently in transit.

Just works with Windows 10, have it in my PLEX server right now, havent experienced overheating yet.

J’ai installé la TP‑Link TX401 dans mon PC et elle fonctionne parfaitement. L’installation est rapide, les pilotes s’installent sans difficulté et la carte est immédiatement reconnue. Les débits sont excellents et surtout très stables, que ce soit pour les transferts de gros fichiers ou le streaming local. La latence est vraiment faible, ce qui se ressent sur les usages sensibles comme le jeu en réseau ou les accès NAS. Le radiateur intégré fait bien son travail : la carte reste froide même en charge. Un très bon choix si on veut passer au 10 Gigabit sans se compliquer la vie. Fiable, performante et bien finie.

Mycket bra nätverkskort. Bara att installera i datorn. Windows 11 hittade bästa och nyaste drivrutinen själv. Får ut 1.15 Gb/s från en m.2:a in en pc via nätverket till en annan m.2 i en annan pc. Mycket nöjd. Har ett 10 Gb/s nätverk så det maxar ut bandbredden. Rekommenderas.
