Question to seller. What is holding power of magnet in pounds?

Generally, magnet strength is measured vertically -- as if you had the magnet stuck to the ceiling at were pulling straight down on it.  But if you stick it to a wall and pull down creating a shearing force, it will be much weaker.  Exactly how much weaker depends on the material of the magnet and the material of the wall, but you'll generally get 10% to 25% of the listed strength.  Since this magnet lists a 30kg (a hair over 66 pounds) pull-away strength, you can reasonably expect it to hold 27kg/60lbs vertically, which means you'll probably get at least 6lbs of grip on even the slickest wall, and possibly as much as 15lbs.

What's the pull strength?

Roughly 60 lbs.  It is weird that it's not mentioned on the description but I got that info from the pics provided (last page with dimensions). In there it states 30kg pulling power.

Will this hold a large frame handgun?

Most likely yes.  The magnets have a 66lb pull-away weight, as in, the force required to pull one straight off.  Magnets are 75% to 90% weaker against shearing forces  though, depending on how slippery the wall and magnet are -- for example, sticking a magnet to a wall then sticking a gun to it, so gravity wants the gun to slide down the wall.  But even 10% of 65lbs is heavier than a Smith & Wesson Model 500, so you're probably good.

Would 2 of these hold a 12in cast iron skillet to the wall?

I am using two of these to hold an LED 4’ light to the ceiling and still use the pull on/off cord without any issues. I personally wouldn’t hesitate to try it. If it doesn’t work you could always double up the magnets. My guess is that the screws that come with them will give out before the magnets do.  Suggest longer screws. It takes a number 6 screw.
