Only used once so far, but the tray was just as I had hoped! I made sure to butter the pan before pouring in the muffin mixture, and they came out easily.Very detailed, realistic looking skulls are perfect for horror-themed events with friends. So far I know firsthand that the eye sockets are the perfect size for blueberries, and the mouth can be made to open. I want to also try edible glass shards, presenting with dry ice mist, coating with white icing, rice crackers made to look like fly-babies.. In short, looking forward to making more nightmarish treats with this pan!

I got this because I have a fan of skull-shaped anything, so I made him these cupcakes for his birthday. He loved them. I used a chocolate bundt cake recipe, filling each mold 3/4 full and baking the excess batter in a loaf tin. I also prepared the molds using unsalted butter and cocoa powder (instead of flour), then refrigerated the pan to chill the preparation. Then, I made the batter while the oven preheated (350*F), once the oven was ready, then I combined the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, poured the batter into the chilled molds and fired it into the oven for about 40 minutes. Once they were done (toothpick inserted comes out clean), then I removed them to a wire rack to cool in the pan. Once it was cool enough to handle the pan without oven mitts, then I flipped over the pan and tapped them out to finish cooling. They dropped out cleanly and left no bits behind. A perfect unmolding. :). Success with this type of pan is almost guaranteed if you follow the correct preparations first. I've had some miserable failures before hitting on the right method of pan prep. I hope this helps you enjoy these highly detailed cakelette pans (regardless of design). I can highly recommend any heavy cast pan made by Nordicware. Worth the price. :)I bought a second one, when it came up in Warehouse Deals. Same as the first, but with a few rough edges inside the molds. I'll deal with them by heavily buttering and flouring before adding the batter. Now, I can make a dozen at a time, instead of having to make two batches of six, which takes much longer.Happy with my purchase. :)

Fabulous quality and very heavy based. Expensive but should have years of wear. I made easy margerita pizzas, a must have for halloween

moule excellent . Les gâteaux sortent parfaitement bien.
