For scuba diving can you recommend any other items I should buy with the camera and this waterproof housing? Items needed to buy separately

If you want to add a tray, strobes and video lights you can. Backscatter also has an airlens wide angle lens if you want something like that. But the housing comes with extra o-ring, desiccants, o ring lube. You don’t need anything else. I would add a clip to the housing so you can attach it to your bcd. Id this housing necessary for snorkeling in salt water?

You can snorkel without the housing in saltwater but saltwater is hard on equipment. You should wash your camera right after use. Do NOT leave your camera dry off as s salt crystals will form on camera.
