I have seen Royal Purple oil being used in race engines for years....what makes Royal Purple Full Synthetic better than say.. Mobil1 Full Synthetic?

Royal One is considered one of the better synthetic oils. Notice it does not say 100% synthetic. Only if they say 100% are they completely free of any petroleum based oil. Also note sticker says approved by Petroleum standards. Mobil 1 says this too. A 100% synthetic oil requires no additives. In Europe, fully synthetic = 100% synthetic. In the United States it doesn't.

Looks like you keep up with maintenance, so yes, I think it would suit your needs. The first oil change with Royal Purple is a time in which the oil acclimates to its engine environment. You can still get 5000 miles out of it, but with the second oil change you will see a subtle change with oil life extending beyond the 5000 to 6000 or more. In my case, I am getting 10000 miles between oil changes, and the oil still has no burned smell to it. I do recommend using a good oil filter as well, like Wix, or something that can take the temperature ranges. If your engine is using oil, then I'd be cautious in making the switch, otherwise I have no regrets. With the last rebuild on my 1988 Jeep Wrangler I started it off with Royal Purple and haven't looked back. Engine runs smoother and I get the extended oil mileage.

I use it in my 2017 prius 2. It works great. Comes out looking damn near new after 10k miles. When i need to switch to high mileage oil, i will use HMX.

RP is the best oil

The best oil on the market. Recommend anybody to make the switch, particularly if your car is still under 100,000 km though I did switch my 2008 Kia Sportage at 150,000 km with no problem. It really cleaned the engine too and subsequent oil changes had cleaner oil coming out!

Get the best and safe

Best oil there is. If you buy it by the case on Amazon, and take it to a quick lube, or do it yourself, you know that it done right. I don't trust dealerships anymore they will rune your car just to sell you more part.
