A bargain
Very solid and professional looking. All parts (casters, screws, rails) good quality. No assembly instructions but it's not rocket science, took about 30 minutes to put together. The rear rails were the icing on the cake, nice to have those power strips in the back instead of wasting front rack space. The rails come with 2 different size holes so you can flip the rails to configure which you want to use, I used the larger in front and the smaller in back. I went with the Samson rather than other similar looking brands due to reviews stating problems with bad screw hole threads, crappy screws and misaligned assembly holes. No problems with the Samson, everything lines up perfect and the threads and screws are fine. Would recommend.

21U Rack Is a Good Product
I'm using this Samson rack for a mixture of rack- and shelf-mounted audio equipment. The sheet metal sides and top provide an aesthetic improvement over competing products, making the SRK21 look less like racks found in data centers. Hardware and instructions were fine. Samson does not use captured nuts in this model; shelves and equipment are attached by screws directly into threaded holes. This is probably a cost-saving measure and works well if you are careful not to cross-thread the screws. As noted by others, the screw hole placement conforms to standard rack dimensions. Samson offers rack shelves, but I went with Navepoint since they have a larger variety of shelf sizes and configurations. Overall, the Samson rack is sturdy and well-made. I will buy another one if more than 21U is needed in the future.

Perfect...
This rack is excellent. I was skeptical after reading reviews about holes stripping, and the rack being flimsy until completely full and having to use the "samson" filler plate as a support in the back just to keep it up. After receiving my rack, I'm fully convinced that all of the negative reviews are user errors and mistakes. I can see it being tempting to get out a power drill because there are a decent amount of screws to put in, and it's likely you'll have to unscrew and rescrew a lot if you don't follow the directions and install the outer pillars correctly for whichever screw type you plan on using (US vs Euro). My only complaint is that 2 of the total screws needed to install the rack skeleton would not easily screw in. So instead of risking stripping the threads, I just left them out. Despite that, the rack felt extremely sturdy with absolutely no flex, even with nothing installed and the "samson" plate left out. I now have a Furman outlet and DBS 286s installed on the top 2 slots, a nave point shelf in the center holding a mixer and cloud lifter gain booster, and a 2-slot high nave point locking drawer on bottom and 2-slot high filler plate above that. I have a smaller scrap piece of wood lodged on the back corner with a Rode mic stand clamped to it. The entire setup rolls smooth and sturdily with all the weight, and works really well as a mobile streaming setup. If I ever need a second rack, or a taller rack, I will not think twice about getting another one of these Samsons.

Yes, it rolls on carpet!
When I first took this out of the box, I was a little worried it was going to be flimsy. I got the 21 space version, which is rather tall, making it extra wobbly (at first). It's a little hard to put together yourself, a helper would make a big difference. But I was able to do it by myself with some trial and error (and plenty of patience). The instructions are a little unclear (as other reviewers have stated) but if you really take your time and make sure the rack screws you want to use for your setup (US or European) fit the side of the rails which are facing out, you'll be OK. You'll also want to hand-thread all the screws carefully as it's easy to cross-thread them. As other reviewers have suggested, keep all the assembly screws a little bit loose so you can square things up and then tighten them down at the end with a tool. I wouldn't suggest an electric driver for assembly unless you go slowly with it and don't over torque things. There was one screw hole in one corner that didn't seem to be tapped properly, I ended up using a supplied rackmount screw for that one instead of the supplied assembly screw. It worked fine. Anyway, once it's all put together, straight and square, the screws all tightened, and especially after you start putting some gear into it: the "flimsy" goes away. Especially if you also mount some things on the back side (like rack shelves or vent covers). Mine is about half full of stuff and it's very solid. It rolls around on the carpet without wobbling at all. I'm very happy with it. For the money it's a very good deal. It's not as well constructed as something you'd find in a corporate server room, but for the amateur / hobbyist audiophile, this is a decent rack cabinet. Note that the front-to-back depth is only 18", which is very generous for most audio gear. But if you plan on putting any computer equipment in this, it will likely stick out the back, which may or may not be a problem for you. Most sliding rack rails I'm familiar with also require a minimum depth of 20", so don't plan on installing any of those in this cabinet, either. Your deeper / heavier stuff will probably need some kind of support in the back or directly underneath. You wouldn't want to rely only on the 4 front screws for heavier stuff.

Buy this rack. NOW
I was very pleased with this purchase. Anything comparable was at least twice the price. This unit was simple to put together. Watch as you assemble the corner rails because one side of the rail is SAE and the other is metric. That is certainly nice thinking. After assembly I found the rack very sturdy and square. All equipment fits nicely. The casters are good quality and glide very smooth. The caster locks work very well and are easy to engage. This is a very practical piece of equipment for a practical price. Hats off to Samson for breaking the snob barrier for equipment racks.

Top Rack.

Compact and sturdy network rack. Fits nicely in my store room and allows me to organize my 24-gigabit switch and other equipment. The lockable wheels makes shifting the rack a cinch. Value buy.
