I had tried another brand of this but it gave me indigestion about an hour after taking it even if I ate food first but this Hawaii Pharm has not affected me that way as much and not at all if I remember to eat a little something before or after. It also does not make me as lethargic as the other brand so I appreciate that. Hawaii Pharm also packages their products to withstand the shipping and gets here very fast for that length of trip!!

Hawaii Pharm is the best!

For a long while I've been wanting to try gotu kola as a skin care ingredient but products that contain it are expensive. I saw this and another brand of the tinctures and unfortunately tried the other brand which is very well known, first cause it was cheaper. It smelled like some kind of swamp. I don;t know what was wrong with it but it went bad and I couldn't return it. That put me off for a while but I eventually decided to try this brand and right away I was impressed by the quality. It is fresh, and although it is a glycerite, it doesn't feel strongly tacky the way other brands tinctures based in glycerin have. It's too soon to tell if it will have any skin benefits but I'm using it for protection against pollution, aging, etc. I'm convinced this is the real thing and not watered down or a counterfeit. It's definitely fresh. UPDATE June 8, 2018: Unfortunately I haven't seen any skin results at all, which is what I bought it for. Although it isn't being sold as a skin care product but as a tincture to be used internally. I don't know if this herb just isn't effective for my skin or if it doesn't penetrate the skin unless it's in a certain form made for skincare products.
