## Description

The Siglent SPD3303X-E Power Supply contains three independent power supplies in one unit. As true linear supply, output noise and regulation are excellent. With its intelligent temperature-controlled fan, noise is reduced. Voltage resolution is 10mV 10mA. The SPD3303X-E Power Supply comes with Easy Power PC software, supports SCPI commands and like all Siglent instruments, has an available LabVIEW driver.

Review: After watching many reviews on this power supply, I decided to buy it. It was a good choice for the price range. Its performance is spot on, although on some voltage ranges, you MIGHT notice a .01 volts difference on the screen from what you choose and what the output actually is. It's not a big deal and since there are only 2 digits past the decimal point, that .01 may actually be something like .006. If that's a big deal, then dial in the voltage you want, minis -.01. So for 12.00 volts, choose 11.99 volts. But that is so not a problem. As expected, it's a bit heavy, but that's due to the transformer inside, which are always heavy. I actually like the heaviness and it gives it a feel of good quality, which it is. LOVE IT! UPDATE: OCT 2019 STILL LOVE IT! Use it daily. :) UPDATE: JUN 2020 YUP! STILL LOVE IT. Still used daily. ;)
Review: Product: Siglent SPD3303X-E Programmable DC Power Supply Use: for work lab setup at my house (work from home) Purchased: July 2022 (2-3 months of usage at the time of this review) Background/Usage: I am an engineer with 30+ years of post graduate experience with a focus of 25+ years in the design and development of medical imaging equipment. This is the 3rd piece of Siglent equipment I own, along with the Siglent SDG6022X Arbitrary Waveform Generator and the Siglent SDS2204X Plus Digital Storage Oscilloscope (many additional options purchased). My overall impression is that I like this power supply. I have been exposed to and used many other manufacture equipment from many of the top brands. Since I purchased this using my "dime", I tend to balance form, function, quality, price and several other factors. Value: I could have spent a lot less and gotten a lot less features and quality. For me, quality was a heavier factor that you just are not going to get with those sub $100 supplies. Quality: The build quality is very good. A bit noisier than what I personally like, however, not as noisy as some very expensive and most cheap counter parts. With this being in a lab bench setup with several other pieces of equipment, noise is noise. Screen display is sufficient for what is needed, showing what one needs to see. Buttons and knobs are more than sufficient, decent quality. My one "ding" (CON) is the banana plugs feel a bit cheaper than everything else on this piece of equipment and are non-standard size for a BNC dual banana plug adapter. This is a big oversight on Siglent's part and a common point of complaint. I overlook this and can easily work around it. Features: For the value, this is feature rich. I know the specs say this is 3 output, and technically it is... however, only 2 are IMHO independently controlled, those being the 32 volt @ 3.2 amp outputs. The 3rd one is a selectable 2.5/3.3/5.0 volts @ 3.2 amp output. So yes, technically 3. I do like and use the 3.3 volt or 5.0 volt output for small prototype boards. Adding a 12.0 volt selection would have been a win IMHO... but so be it. The 2 independent programmable outputs can be put into series for up to a 60 volt @ 6.4 amp max output. Something I won't need but nice. I utilize the minimum resolution of 1 mV and 1 mA setting ability. Although many may not need this fine resolution, it is very necessary in my line of work dealing with very small signals. I am happy with this supply and would recommend it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this power the flux capacitor?**
A: Unfortunately, not nearly enough power. At 300W, we would need 4 million SPD3303X-Es to reach the 1.2 GW needed to power the original flux capacitor as well as 4 million power cords, 4 million outlets, etc.. it would be a bit of a challenge :)

- Jason, SIGLENT NA

**Q: does it have a current limiting feature?**
A: Yes, the two main outputs each have a programmable current limit with the same fine granularity as voltage setting. The third 3.3/5V output I think is a fixed limit.

**Q: How does it behave when powered up from the ac input? does it begin working with last settings, or must the soft power button be pressed to start?**
A: This has a hard power switch, you can tell by looking at the power button the line in the middle does not touch the circle. when you power it up, your last settings used will still be there but it will not be enabled. Hope this helps.

**Q: Can you adjust the tree outputs?**
A: I assume you meant three instead of tree. However, channel 1 & 2 (0-32 volts)are adjustable. The three outputs of 2.5, 3.3, and 5 volts @ 3.2 amps are fixed and selectable by a slide switch. A comprehensive user manual is available for this power supply that details all the features. Very happy with mine!

Les photos parlent d'elles même. La seule remarque que je peux faire, c'est que le canal 2 est plus près de la tension voulue.
