Afrin Original Nasal Spray (Old Version), 0.5 fl Oz

I've tried multiple types of Afrin nasal spray over the past few years. With this particular Original kind, I find that it doesn't always seem to last the full 12 hours before I become congested again. Oftentimes I need to use the inhaler after about 8 or so hours. But my congestion is also pretty serious and a result of a sinus infection. You're not supposed to use the nasal spray for more than a few days in a row, but I tend to go way beyond that while treating my infections on my own with UMF-rated manuka honey, herbal antibiotics and sea salt/aromatherapy inhalers. Since I'm immune to regular antibiotics now, I have no other choice. Afrin is extremely effective in clearing up the nasal passages and shrinking the swollen membranes. It allows you to breathe freely even when you're completely stuffed up. I like the original Afrin better than the menthol Afrin, which, despite being non-drop, can drip slightly and be unpleasant. The non-drip Moisturizing Afrin works well but left my throat extremely dry. So the Original Afrin is my favorite right now despite not seeming to be as strong and long-lasting as the others. It WORKS!

I couldn't use this for more than the second day as I decided to take a trip to prompt care but was taking this in combination with Mucinex to help with some nasal and throat issues I was having but was advised from the doctor that it was probably adding to the irritation that I was already having. Long story short thou I will say this does work if your having any nasal issues regarding not being able to breath or stuffiness this cleared my air passages right up I did 2 puffs in each nostril and thats all it took in mins I was feeling the relief from this spray. It was super easy to use and there was no smell,taste or drippage afterwards. Overall if this was something that I could have continued to use and would have helped to relieve all what was wrong I sure would have continued to take it.

My right sinus nostril has always been stopped up tight for years, and I am able to only breathe out of my left side sinus nostril. Always a problem trying to sleep. A friend recommend Afrin to me over a year ago. I tried it. My right side nostril cleared up completely within 10 minutes and....I slept like a baby till morning! It lasts 8 to 12 hours. I tried it again the next night, the following night and the night after that. Okay, the directions say to use it for "three days only".....but then what? It won't work anymore? Well, then I'm no worse off than I was before I began using it. But for me, I've used it every night for over a year now with ABSOLUTELY NO NOTICEABLE SIDE AFFECTS and finally, I can get a relaxing nights sleep! I keep 3 bottles in my house all the time....I wouldn't be without it!!! THANK YOU 'AFRIN'!!

Afrin nasal spray is excellent performing medication. However, product container is NOT as described in online description. Product container described as "PUMP MIST". Actual product received is NOT a "pump" mist. Product container is a "SQUEEZE" bottle applicator. I does make a difference as to applicator sanitation and the length of time applicator remains sanitary. A "Pump Mist" applicator is far superior than a "squeeze" bottle applicator. Customer must be careful as to accuracy of product descriptions.

This was added by the Chief of Anesthesia to code carts at the hospital I worked at because it was the best quick acting decongestant available. I used it to open my sinuses when I had Covid-19. It worked great along with an alupent inhaler & some sports oxygen. I take nasal steroids with a CPAP but they didn’t work as well once I got Covid. Afrin with a CPAP made it so I could get some sleep.

This stuff is wild. It has become part of my essential flying items because I get ear pain and nasal inflammation/congestion affects that too. Warning. Be prepared for it to immediately clear you up and cause you to sneeze or at least need a tissue for a while. Really clears you up. My husband was having horrible sinus pain on a recent flight so I gave this to him and the efficiency kind of freaked him out 😂

3 stars because of price. I will purchase elsewhere because of the cost. It's nose spray that is being used as a comparable to a prescription eye drop for dry eyes. I gave used Afrin for sinus congestion and I now started to use it for dry eyes. It's very helpful for me in the morning.
