**Q: Is the tracker able to find locations of cut wires that don't form a complete circuit? (looking for a cut sprinkler solenoid wire)**
A: It should be able to track which ever end of the wire it is attached to up to the cut point. But not all the way through the circuit.  I.e. if a wire is cut in half and this is attached to the left side it can trace the wire up to the left side of the cut. To trace the right side, you would have to hook it to the right side of the cut wire.

**Q: How do I use this to find speaker wire in the ceiling? There are wire coming in through the entertainment center area and they go up into the ceiling.**
A: You clip  active transmitter to exposed wire ends. Turn on receiver and adjust to a level just high enough to receive signal. Move receiver around area until you get the strongest signal and follow with receiver to end.

**Q: Will this work on live circuits behind plaster walls and will it find circuit breakers for labeling?**
A: Yes to both

**Q: can this unit find where a break in contiunity is? IE a snipped or kinked wire**
A: Yes, I use it for to find breaks in underground dog fence. It gets weak around 500 ft and you need to hook into the wire again, but I'm fencing 13+ acres for my German Shepherds to run. We have a lot of deer "hooves" and critters that will cut or chew the wire. Not the easiest to use, but with patients you can find the break.
