Solid Quality, Nice Upgrade 🚽
Honestly, this seat feels way more sturdy than I expected. The slow-close feature is smooth and quiet, no loud slamming which I really like. Install was quick and easy, didn’t take long at all. It fits perfectly and looks clean in the bathroom. Overall, it’s a simple but solid upgrade, definitely worth it.

Good quality and easy to install. Bumpers under the seat may be needed to reduce noise.
The good: I'm quite surprised that the seat is a perfect fit for the bowl and is very easy to install. It appears to be sturdy enough to withstand years of use. The lid and the seat close nice and soft which is quite important for us. Now the bad: Some other brands have silicone bumpers under the seat which prevent noise when someone sits down on it. This one doesn't. You can experience the noise if you watch the video. I can't see any ugly with it but the bumpers are quite important for us. Hope this helps you make an educated decision.

Quality plastic seat. I like it.
This American Standard slow-close elongated toilet seat is exactly what I was looking for. The slow-close feature works perfectly — no more slamming lids — and installation was quick and easy. The seat feels sturdy, looks clean and modern, and is very easy to keep clean. Excellent value and a really nice upgrade for the bathroom. Highly recommend!

Elongated slow close seat fits Toto Drake
Quick shipping and reasonable price point at $26. Easy install, and the slow close mechanism is great as it applies to the seat as well, not just the lid cover. Just make sure you select the correct shape for your toilet. I bought an elongated (Innovative) seat which fits the Toto Drake elongated toilet. The reviews that complained about the seat not fitting often are user error, round verses elongated. The seat and cover are plastic and super lightweight so it doesn’t feel as comfortable as a more expensive or wooden seat but as a reasonably priced soft close option, this seat is great. I selected this one over some others as I want to be able to disinfect and use cleaners and this finish appears durable (other brands use a finish that is damaged with some cleaners).

Bot good quality and not sturdy.
Materials are below standard. Bolts broke after 1st day. Not good quality.

Sliding issue
The seat was easy to install and fit perfectly. The issue I have is that no matter how hard to tighten the screws down the seat still seems to slide. Not sure if the washers that were shown on the installation instructions, but were not included in the pack with the fasteners may be why the seat slides.

Gets the job done.
This seat is okay, not great but okay. I had recently purchased a nice wooden toilet seat. Had it about 2 months and dropped an almost empty can of air freshener on the ring of the seat and it split right in half on one side. At that point I just ordered an inexpensive seat from Amazon and as I stated, it's okay. It is slow close. It does fit perfectly on my oblong shaped toilet. But it is lightweight and kind of flimsy. But, I'm not spending the money on another wooden seat. I did purchase additional bolts or screws (whatever they're called) to replace the plastic ones that came with the seat. Those worked great.

The previous, original toilet seat on our American Standard Cadet toilet broke outright near the left hinge point after about 10 years of use. This was NOT a slow close lid. The new one is. Neither of them have a feature allowing quick detachment for cleaning like the more expensive lids do. I was quite surprised to see the old seat broken but, in truth, my wife was sitting on top of the lid, not the seat, drying herself after a bath when it happened. She said it suddenly twisted then broke and she almost fell to the floor. She's average height and weight. Regardless the manufacturer may have something to say like: Please don't sit on top of the lid, it's not designed for that. And I would agree with that. I expect that she leaned to one side or the other, while drying herself, and the feet under the lid slipped sideways causing the twist. The torque on the hinge would have been huge even for a person weighing 140 pounds so I don't blame the manufacture for this. I took a good look at the replacement I ordered and the plastic is much thicker around the hinge points so perhaps the manufacturer noticed and improved the design and hopefully this one won't break. The feet under the lid and seat also seem stickier than on the old one so twisting due to shifting weight seems less likely. I'll give it 5 stars for now :)
