Home button is on fire
- The home button gets noticeably hot after a minute of usage. At first I though this might be due to the glue residue left on the metal panel. After scraping it away with some hydrogen peroxide I reinstalled the screen, but the problem persisted. My hypothesis is that this is due to the poor insulation of the digitizer. Compared to the original one, the light of the digitizer is emitting direct light onto the home button connectors. On the original screen, the black cable coating was protecting the lower part of the phone from this light. Regardless, this is the main reason why I would NOT recommend getting this screen. - The screen color is bleak and blue-ish in comparison to the original. This is something that is expected from my previous experience with screen repairs. - The display connectors came twisted I did not notice and first and had to redo the whole process twice to fix the cable position. - The only positive thing is that the package arrived faster than expected and that the tools included in the package were of good quality.

Just what I needed !
Bought a very badly cracked and wore out iPhone SE from my friend and immediately went searching for a replacement. Picked this one due to good reviews and it arrived the same day. I'm extremely meticulous when it comes to electronic repair so it took me about 2 hours but that's because everything needed individually deep cleaned, I took my time making sure everything was done smoothly and properly. The only thing I had issues with was the seal stuff, idk if it was a me error or product error but I perfectly lined it up and it just wouldn't peel separate from the blue sheet so I skipped that 🤣 I have an OtterBox for it anyway. Booted it up after repair and made sure everything functioned properly, true tone still works, touch sensitivity is the same as the original screen, brightness and saturation levels are decent. I'd say for the price, you get the whole entire kit of 95% of what you need for the repair and it's definitely worth it. The repair process just involves swapping everything from the broken screen to the new screen and reinstalling everything backwards. Make sure you have a heat gun for the adhesives and original seal.

Good enough
I initially had issues with this screen, which was frustrating, but the seller reached out to make it right. After further investigation, I found the problem was actually a faulty sensor and not the screen itself. For $25, it’s definitely worth trying. It’s not on the same level as an Apple screen, but if you need an affordable replacement, this is a solid option.

Touch sensitivity was iffy, but full refund was offered
Installation went pretty easy, but you definitely need an hour, a clear workspace, and a lot of squinting. The video they sent me showed up a couple days late, and happened to be the same one I already used to do the install. There are plenty of videos out there to browse through. The screen's visual quality was noticeably worse but ultimately not a huge deal. The deal breaker for me is the touch sensitivity. I often have to press multiple times for a tap to register, and sometimes the tap registers a bit away from where I touched. This makes typing on a keyboard difficult, and sometimes a BAD button registers if it's next to what I'm trying to tap. Eg. "Yes" gets tapped when I tap "No" or "Cancel". I'm not sure if I got a particular bad screen or if this is just as good as it gets for cheap after-market screens. EDIT: I was offered a full refund, so I've updated my rating accordingly. Just know that aftermarket screens can be hit or miss, and at least you've got a good refund policy on this one.

Instructions missing- web link from kit broken.
Update: The maker saw the review, and offered to send a replacement to see if the original had a cable flaw preventing home button operation. I have installed the replacement, and the home button is working including fingerprint recognition. Adding one star to my original review for good support follow-up. Still only 4 star due to the documentation issue (and well, doing the rather involved replacement process twice without directions wasn't ideal, but it did all work in the end). Original: The kit has a link to a website that no longer loads linked in the instructions. It also claims one will receive a email with links to current instructions, which I did not receive. I was able to install the screen using someone else’s YouTube video, but had to wing it for the backplate swap since they were talking about a replacement kit that had more so the swap was not needed. I was able to figure it out since this is far from the first time I have taken apart an iPhone but your mileage may vary. The screen works, but my home button is no longer functional and I am stuck using assistive touch and not having fingerprint reader function. I am unsure whether the problem is a fault in the supplied connections through the screen unit or if the fingerprint unit suffered damage when the screen broke. Or if there was a step in the missing directions that is specifically needed with this kit.
