A good case with a lot of potential for the Official Raspberry Pi touchscreen.
The touchscreen itself leaves a lot to be desired, but the is the best case for it. A micro SD to SD card extender makes it even better, as it is not easy to change micro SD cards without it. The ribbon cable for it fits through the fan hole in the case. I like the VESA and keyhole mounts on the back for use without the base, and the included hinges for use without the base (similar in design to the hinge on the base, but the hinges attach via screw to whatever surface you wish to mount it to.) I was able to run some wires to the GPIO pins through a vent in the back of the case. There's adequate room in the case for a hat on the pi and room where another small device could be placed if necessary...

For official touch screen 2
Good quality made for official touch screen 2 so I screwed up and had to return it

The case is amazing.
I've had both large and small versions and probably the feature I like the most is whoever designed it thought about mounting points and people that like to modify. I think the base is the nicest feature. Almost didn't use it, but then opened it up and saw more optional mounting holes under the metal cover. The base is basically the top and bottom of whatever size project box spacer you want to fab up. Build four walls out of handy material with 3mm or 4mm screws of length to match and it bolts right up. I built up 3/4" and 1 1/4" spacers for base of mine with standoffs to put a 10 cell pack in, plus all the power supply circuits. The monitor was designed to fit on the base "backward", so that a long box can be made to fit and laid flat, with monitor on top, like test equipment. A pi server rack could easily be made into the base alone. The pictures don't show all the configurations possible, but if you've ever hacked anything to make a project box for something, this is for you.

A couple of things to know
The instructions could be better written. Lots of details are missing. For example It says “assemble this” but doesn’t tell you what exactly “assemble” means. You can break parts while experimenting to find out how to do it. It wants you to reuse some standoffs but they don’t fit right. I had to buy different ones. Still, it’s a great way to build a raspberry pi appliance that needs a small touch screen.

Great case, but no SD access
Fits my 7" pi screen very well, instructions are accessible via the internet and are well written. I find myself wanting an access port for the microSD card though, if you have to change them out or reprogram it you must remove four fasteners on the back. Not a big inconvenience, but just a slight annoyance. The case is sturdy and has a good weight, comes with alternative mounting methods in case you want to wall mount or surface mount. So far I like the stand. The case is made from quality plastic.

Nice! But how do you plug into the headphone jack???
Just got this a few days ago. It is quite a improvement over the previous one. Goes together easy and well. My one complaint that subtracted a star was there is no way to access the headphone jack on the raspberry pi once you put the cover on. I guess I will have to cut out a hole but still there will be no easy way to plug/unplug speakers or headphones. I honestly think they never considered that.
