Satechi Bluetooth Remote Control, R2 Multimedia Remote Control in Presentation & Media Mode, for MacBook Air/Pro M5/M4, iPad Air/Pro M5/M4/M3, Not Compatible with Windows 10/11

I tested a bunch of remotes to work with my Samsung S25, since I am using the S25 to stream Qobuz to my home sound system (via FiiO K13 R2R DAC). I tested a bunch of remotes (bluetooth) to work with the S25 and all sucked. Latency with those bad ones was very bad. There is ZERO latency with this remote, the Satechi. ZERO! I kid you not. Even if you put it down for a whole day, you pick it up and it works immediately as if it was infrared remote. It looks amazing! Metal. Nice feel to it. Slick looking. Great looking on my furniture. But the functionality is AWESOME! It pauses/plays my Qubuz app, it next/previous, and of course volume control. Just awesome. Highly highly recommended. You will not be let down with this one. I want to buy one just in case they stop making it.

I bought this to operate YouTube videos on my iPad Pro. I watch videos while laying down and was tired of getting up to pause/play and control volume. It was very easy to pair and works great. I love that the buttons are simple and clear and don’t have to look to find controls. It has a good weight and feels like a quality product. I love that it’s rechargeable. It was exactly what I was looking for and would highly recommend.

This is the 5th Bluetooth remote I bought from Satechi (from version-1 I guess to date R2 version in 2021). I'm extremely happy with Satechi products so far (baring few improvements suggested here) Now coming to review of R2 Satechi Bluetooth Remote Control: Pros: 1. Overall quality of the material & product is awesome + it is very sturdy remote. 2. Technical support is always great and so is the warranty by Satechi. 3. Buttons on the remote have been redesigned and are very functional and handy. Cons (I would rather term this as improvements needed) 1. USB-C charger cable length is extremely small and should be at minimum 3-6 ft. 2. No charger provided in the package and the assumption by Satechi is that you will have the charger for a C-type cable. 3. It only connects to 1 device at a time and that is why I have multiple remotes since I bought the first one in 2007-2008. 4. Presenter doesn't work on LED, OLED TVs. 5. Cost $$ is slighter on the higher side but quality comes at a price. So I can live with it. 6. Slightly on the higher side with weight but acceptable due to its sturdiness. Solid build, quality materials. Extremely cumbersome to use, random buttons do random things, no instructions or guides. Doesn't really work with YouTube, cannot control volume, cannot skip anything, it is fiddly to point from a distance - it ends up being randomly pressing buttons to see which ones may get a response from the program being used. Too much effort and limitations for the price, returning it.

Intuitive and easy to setup and use. The remote works perfect for my apple device to remotely control my sons phone I use with youtube as a sound machine. This allows me to remotely play/pause and raise or lower the volume. It would however be a nice feature to have a sleep function so the power button is not needed allowing to press the button of the remote to wake it up. The remote feels solid and well built, and I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a remote for an apple device such as an ipad or iphone!

This is so sleek, i love how it feels on my hand. And most importantly it works perfect. I was using a Targus brand for my iPad before i discovered this brand, the difference is so noticeable. With this brand or model, when I’m doing a presentation on my iPad it goes at a pace i want. Unlike the other brand of presentation pointers that goes too fast. This is highly recommended. Oh, one more thing, being that it is Bluetooth and you don’t need to plug nothing on your computer or device, you are not just saving money buying batteries you are as well enjoying convenience.

Teil 1.Das Produkt ist sehr wertig verarbeitet. Alu Gehäuse ähnlich IPhon. Tastatur und Schieberegler gut zu bedienen. Funktionen die ich bis jetzt benutzt habe. App Ansteuerung aus dem Hauptmenü eines Ipad 10, Steuerung von Youtube , Steuerung von Kindl Seitenwechsel (hatte ich gar nicht erwartet). Laut und leise, hell und dunkel vom Ipad. Menü lt. Bedienanleitung M für Media ,P für Präsentation. Die Kopplung des Gerätes erfolgt via Bluetooth und funktioniert problemlos. Nebeneffekt...Ansteuerung auch eines älteren Ipad möglich. Wenn sie nicht aus einem techn. Schaden kaputt geht....ein wirklich zu empfehlendes Gerät. Bernd Teil 2 Also ich habe das Gerät seit ca. 4 Wochen und habe inzwischen noch weitere nützliche Eigenschaften gefunden. Ich bin jetzt der Meinung das die Fernbedienung in der Lage ist das Ipad, nach dem man es eingeschaltet hat, weitest gehend zu steuern. Ich finde immer neue Funktionen. Also ausser dem schon geschilderten Funktionen können die abgespeicherten Apps angesteuert werden. Nach Beenden eines Programmes kann mit der Häschen Taste bequem wieder auf den Home Bildschirm zurück geschaltet werden. Es lohnt sich also unbedingt AUSPROBIEREN !! Bernd Das ist jetzt Teil 3 dieser Bewertung .... es hatte sich ein kleines Problem bei der Fernbedienung eingestellt ...der Powerschalter (an/aus) hatte sich ins Gehäuse zurückgezogen. Ein einwandfreies Ausschalten der FB war schwierig. Ich habe mich mit dem Kundendienst direkt beim Hersteller über das Problem besprochen. In kürzester Zeit wurde mir mit einem Ersatzgerät geholfen. As said in title, perfect for its purpose. I was skeptical at first and only bought it along with other things and thought if it didn't work I'll return it. It worked straight away - No install software etc. Simply connect bluetooth. Do know it has two function switch: media (I don't really use but can be useful) and Presentation (effectively replace the need for mouth and arrow keys). Works with powerpoint, and most important for me, Anki note for study purpose. Great product!

Cette télécommande est idéale pour piloter des applications de presentation pour Mac ou pour controler un Mac qui joue une video, soit sur son propre écran (ce qui est un peu inutile), soit sur un écran Airplay; soit sur un projecteur connecté en HDMI. Dans mon cas je partage l'écran de le MacBook Pro de mon bureau qui affiche une video (ou une présentation) via Airplay sur un projecteur dans mon salon et depuis mon canapé je peux contrôler le volume, faire pause/play, etc. La finition et la qualité de cette télécommande en aluminium est au niveau de celle d'Apple. Super produit!

Il Telecomando Multimediale Bluetooth è stato un acquisto eccellente. Il telecomando è compatibile con diverse piattaforme, tra cui Mac e PC, e supporta le principali app di presentazione. La connessione Bluetooth è stabile e veloce, e il telecomando ha una portata sufficiente per permettermi di muovermi liberamente durante le presentazioni.
