Really nice speaker for scanners
This is my fourth purchase it works very well for my scanners The audio is much better than built in speaker Easy to mount with included mounting bracket Its priced fairly

Good tone, compared to similar icom external speaker. Might take a good twist of volume to get some sound out of it, but it's crisp and accurate. I have louder external speakers but those sound terrible up loud. Handheld units might not have the output to drive it like headphones. Works well on gmrs and amateur radio mobile transmitters. I have bad hearing, most mobile unit speakers are muffled. Effective solution at a fair price. It doesn't feel heavy duty but it sounds better than it might appear. I've bought several different styles of these looking for a better one. This is the best sounding one under $20. Again, a headphone jack might not drive this loudly, it is an external speaker.
