These Prince of Peace Instant Ginger Honey Crystals are honestly my absolute favorite. The flavor is the perfect balance of spicy ginger and natural sweetness from the honey, making it both soothing and refreshing at the same time. They dissolve quickly in hot water and instantly create a warm, comforting drink that’s great in the morning, after meals, or whenever I need something calming. I especially love it when I’m feeling under the weather or just want something cozy that isn’t coffee or tea. The individual sachets are super convenient for travel or keeping at work, and the 19oz box lasts a while. Love using these when myself or someone in my family is starting to feel ill. It helps when you have a sore throat. Easy to open and place into a cup or a bottle. Sweet and a little spicy (ginger).

I sent some of this to some of my friends to make ginger tea with, since my husband and I have it every night at bedtime to settle our stomach and it makes you instantly tired. Here are the results and what I learned. The first couple I sent it to put a whole packet in one cup of hot water and burnt his mouth. (Always tell people how much to use :). The second couple just couldn't acquire a liking for the taste of ginger not matter how healthy it is. I use to not care for it either. It's an acquired taste, but once you acquire that taste you want it every night. So, what I learned was to be very specific and tell people to make ginger tea this way - heat a cup of water with the desired amount of milk in it, add enough ginger to your taste, maybe an eighth to a fourth teaspoon, then add the sweetener of your choice, we use white Stevia powder. If you can find the balance between enough and not too much ginger, it is a great before bedtime hot drink that relaxes you and your tummy. You may not want to use too much milk in it, just a little, since milk has protein and it defeats the purpose of relaxing you contrary to popular belief.

A refreshing tea.

Be warned, this is strong ginger and if you aren't used to it in terms of the of spicy/heat if has, you might want to just try in a smaller quantity first. I bought these quite some time ago and tried it but was instantly freaked out by how it was so spicy going down that it almost irritated my throat. I recently tried it again as a hot drink and now, knowing what to expect, I found it pretty enjoyable. I really dig adding this to green tea sometimes, as well. Definitely not something I can guzzle, but something I enjoy sipping. I'm giving it 4 stars because my first reaction to it was due to my own ignorance of the product and now I feel that it's a solid drink. Variety is the spice of life and I think these make a nice break from other beverages, soda, coffee, etc..

I don't know how they did it but this instant ginger tea tastes just like the tea I make with honey and ginger. This is much easier. No sticky honey to deal with so no mess, which I frequently seem to make when dealing with honey. Directions say mix with 8-16 oz of hot water but with some patience and a little stirring it dissolved in a glass of very cold peach ice tea when I tried it. Hot I did about 8 oz of water and it tasted like what I usually make. Though this has cane sugar in it the taste is honey and ginger. It is sweet but honey ginger is the one tea I've always made sweet. I am going to try adding some of the crystals the next time I make spice tea. Think I may try it next time I make spicy sweet sour oriental style soup. I bought two bags as I planned to share with the friend who introduced me to Prince of Peace by giving me a bag of the ginger candy now I'm thinking I may have to order more sooner than I planned. The best "warm you up" tea for the winter!! It warms you from the inside out! :) Perfect sweetness! Not too spicy, but has just enough heat to give you that sense of warmth and well-being. It soothes the tummy too! I like to add a teaspoon of raw honey- a light floral honey tastes best with the ginger, and sometimes also like to add a slice of lemon or even some lemongrass. You can also add some of the packet to other teas, or even to flavor foods. It is a nice addition to instant oatmeal! And, I bet it would be great to add to a marinade for Terriyaki honey ginger Chicken (Yummmy) as well as a great flavor to noodles for your chicken dish. The possibilities are endless! The BEST ginger honey crystals on the market!
