This all natural product is to be used in small amounts on dry areas of the skin so it shouldn't have the negative impact that sunscreens/lotions that have on pool filters. 
As far as ethically sourcing, we carefully select all ingredients, taking into consideration fair trade practices and sustainable harvesting. This product has never been tested on animals and is made at a Leaping Bunny certified facility in the USA.  Organic ingredients are used whenever possible.  This product is 72% organic. Can i put this in my hair to protect my hair?

This is a fairly heavy cream that may be difficult to apply to your hair unless it's short.  It wouldn't harm your hair but we would recommend that you use Exershield After Swim Fortifying Conditioner instead which is also sold on Amazon.  It is a light weight formula that can be used before swimming.  We have lots of customers that apply this conditioner before putting on their swim caps.  It helps protect the hair from the chlorine and/or salt water.  It can also be used as a leave in conditioner.  Thank you for your good question.

Does this help to prevent swimmers itch

We haven't done any studies to prove that this lotion helps prevent swimmers itch.  It is a light barrier cream so it may help if not in the water for extended periods of time.  Exershield Pre-Swim Barrier Balm that is in a jar is a much thicker, heavy white formula that we would recommend trying first. Thank you for your question.

Does it protect skin wound by providing a long lasting water barrier when swimming? I tried several water proof band-aids and they all fail.
