I bought this from Amazon in February of this year, as it was showing out of stock on Simplehuman's own website at the time. While the price is definitely on the higher end for a holder, it wasn't too outrageous, and it actually functions exactly as it should. It has a nice resistance to the bar, not too much so you rip your towels in half, but enough to slow the pull so you can tear off just one towel at a time. It's really easy and fast to change the towel when you run out, and it's easy to wipe down. It's not a huge profile, but it does comfortably fit the large double roll paper towels without any squeezing. I have mine installed horizontally above my kitchen sink, using the screws and drywall anchors that came with it, and it is secured nicely even after months of daily use.
