Great little deep fryer!! We rent a cabin every year in Canada and every year we fry up fish in the kitchen on the stove and it just got to be messy and hot. This year we decided to get a fish fryer to cook it outside and we are so glad we did. So easy to use and extremely easy to clean!!!! The fish came out nice and golden on our first use…you know how sometimes there is a learning curve with temperatures on new products, not this, it was perfect. The heat up time was quick and didn’t use much oil. Great price point. Works great indoors and out. Would highly recommend.

I am so happy with this product. It's simple - or "basic," as the name implies - and it worked great! I bought a Fry Daddy and it had no controls. This has temperature controls so i can experiment with french fries. notably, french fries made out of turnips, rutabagas and potatoes. the recipe i have had double deep frying. First at 160 degrees for 10 minutes (approx) for all of the various fries, cooling for 20 minutes, then 2nd deep frying at 175 degrees. the fries were perfect with all of the ingredients! I'm very happy with this product! I loved it had a lid to keep the work area clean. I love that it was easy to clean and that it fit in a small area of my cupboard.

WOW. I would give 10 star if I could. First off the Amazon shipping was awesome. Received 4 hours after ordering. This is my first experience with a deep fryer. I wanted to save myself time from cleaning my stove top since we love fried foods. The unit was easy to put together. The time to heat the oil to the max temperature (375) was speedy. Love that I could fill the basket and not worry about grease splashing back out on me, the stove, counter or floor!!! The top cover with the viewing screen is genius. I can see my food and keep the oil from spattering. I chose party wings as my first cook. After 8 minutes they were super crispy and perfectly done (which I always worry about). Next thing on the menu were fries which were crispy and perfect!! Sooo worth the money. Why did I ever wait so long to purchase this life saving appliance 🤷🏽‍♀️ The only thing I would change is the cord length. I’m looking forward to a much easier and quicker cleanup than I’m used to.

I absolutely love my countertop fryer from Amazon basics. The ease of use and cleaning up is well worth it and it was very affordable.

One could deep fry in a sauce pan with a wire insert basket (I have one of those) or one could use a fryer specific implement. The advantage of this deep fryer is that the temperature is automatically controlled thus providing for a smoother operation and better outcomes. I've prepared onion rings, shrimp and potatoes. It is making me seem as though I am a "good" cook. Chicken and eggplant are the next two adventures. Beyond having a remarkable coating/batter for the item one fries the other is using a sufficient amount of lard/tallow/bacon fat. Do not allow the volume to drop to "Minimum" - don't be cheap with the stuff one fries in. I avoid seed oils. Fill it up toward "Maximum" and fry right. I believe this tool works well when preparing meals for 4 or fewer. It is not for cooking for crowds. The dishwasher cleaning the basket has been super. Thus far it has shown quality and ease of use. I can and do recommend you to consider it for a low cost high value kitchen implement for small quantities.

Oh my, this heats up fast and my chicken turned out crispy and inside was perfect. We purchased a new electric stove and soon found out they have a safety feature the keeps shutting off the burners when they reached a certain temperature. Then several minutes later they would heat up again only to keep repeating the process. I haven’t been able to fry chicken in several years because of this. I did purchase a different fryer from Walmart but it never got hot enough so I was hesitant to try this one and I am so glad I did. This fryer is great. I am so happy because I can fry chicken again. Easy to operate and easy to clean! Wonderful fryer!

Our old deep fryer was very difficult to keep clean, so when it failed, I decided to give this one a try. I've been very pleased with its operation. However, like some other reviewers have mentioned, it tends to run a few degrees cooler than the settings knob indicates. As far as cooking, it doesn't recover to operating temperature as quickly as our old one did. However, the older on was considerably smaller. It hasn't proven to be a show-stopper. The reason it doesn't get five stars is the oil pan. The pan is stamped metal and the edges of it are rather sharp. You must be very careful to avoid cutting your fingers when hand washing it. But that said, it is still very easy to take apart and keep clean. For the price, I haven't seen anything comparable.
