You do sharpen with a pencil sharpner. However those cheap plastic ones will not sharpen it. I bought a small metal one with a metal blade from Amazon that does a great job **Q: Does it sharpen to a fine point? Is the blonde true cool blonde, not reddish, not too dark?** A: For me, it is the best blonde I have found, it is not reddish at all.
