I’ve checked against larger starret that I know is square on a machinist granite slab. There was only .0005” gap. The 4” carpenter square works well in conjunction with the small 2” square. Both have a great finish and are well machined. My only complaint about DFM is that they only produce limited runs, so when an item is sold out, they’re gone. If you’re interested in this, best to move quickly. **Q: How much does it weigh?** A: It is very light, functional in a specialty way. Not practical for framing. **Q: Do you have a square with shoulders that are not same size to match 1/4” and 3/8” for marking. Why the two shoulders the same?** A: Just checked. The pins that allow you to mark specific angles without guess work are great and the tiny holes are accurate. Unfortunately the first time I put it my tool pouch it scratched the coating. I’m not confident with continued use that the coating will hold up espically at $44 save your money and get a $11 Milwaukee trim square that will last.
