you will feel so much better after you work through this journal
Burn After Writing by Sharon Jones is a unique and introspective journal that invites you to dig deep into your thoughts, memories, and emotions. It’s more than just a journal; it’s a personal journey of self-discovery, designed to help you reflect on your life and, ultimately, let go of what no longer serves you. What I Appreciated: • Thought-Provoking Prompts: The journal is filled with prompts that really make you think. Some are light and fun, while others are more challenging, pushing you to confront aspects of your life that you might not have thought about in a long time—or ever. It’s a great way to explore your inner self without the pressure of sharing your thoughts with anyone. • Privacy Encouraged: The idea behind Burn After Writing is that you’re writing just for yourself, with the freedom to be completely honest. The title itself suggests that once you’re done, you might choose to destroy the journal, which adds a sense of liberation to the process. • Simple and Effective Layout: The design is straightforward, with plenty of space for you to write. There’s a minimalist approach to the layout, which keeps the focus on your thoughts and responses rather than distracting visuals or overcomplicated formatting. • Emotional Catharsis: For those who are ready to confront and release their emotions, this journal can be incredibly cathartic. It’s a safe space to pour out your heart and leave behind anything that’s been weighing you down. A Few Considerations: • Depth Varies: Some prompts may feel superficial or repetitive, especially if you’ve done similar journaling exercises before. However, this also means that the journal is accessible to a wide range of users, from those new to self-reflection to more experienced journalers. • Not for Everyone: If you’re not comfortable with deep introspection or prefer guided, structured journaling, this might not be the best fit for you. The journal requires a willingness to be vulnerable, which isn’t always easy. • Burning It: The concept of burning the journal after completing it can be both appealing and daunting. It’s a symbolic act of letting go, but some might find it hard to actually destroy something they’ve spent time and effort on.

A private space for honesty and growth
The Burn After Writing pink journal has been such a surprisingly meaningful experience for me. At first, I thought it would just be another guided journal, but the prompts really make you pause and dig deep. Some are light and fun—like imagining dream scenarios or writing about favorites—but others are raw and thought-provoking, asking you to face things you might normally avoid. What I love most is that it feels like a conversation with myself. There’s no pressure to share, no need to make it “pretty” like other journals. It’s messy, real, and just for me. Some days I write a lot, other days just a little, but every time I close it I feel lighter, like I’ve released something I didn’t realize I was holding on to. The pink cover makes it feel personal and inviting, but inside is where the real magic happens. It’s not always easy, but it’s been healing—and honestly, a form of self-therapy I didn’t know I needed. If you’re looking for a safe space to reflect, vent, and be completely honest with yourself, this journal gives you exactly that.

Great for all ages. Keep or Burn after doing a little soul searching.
My 14yr old daughter asked for this book a couple mnths ago. She's in 9th grade and this is a popular book that she heard about. My daughter plays sports and is a sporty girl, but she also likes to get fixed up and be girly. She started High School this year at a new school with new friends, had to do the majority of school online, juggle two sports, and has her first boyfriend of almost 7mnths. With all of these new things going on at this time in her life, she thought this book would be fun to fill out and look back on, or burn! As did I. There are no actual matches, of course. It's just a flat picture that really does looks like a 3d match box. I knew it didn't come with any matches before ordering, which is probably good depending on who this is bought for, but I just thought I'd mention it. You can get this book in different colors. I know there's this pink, a blue, & a gray. Possibly other colors, but those are the ones I specifically seen when looking for this. I scrolled through this book/journal, and it seems like a fun book to fill out and possibly learn a little about yourself. I know the theme is to fill it out and dispose, but I think this would be a great treasure to save to look back on and reminisce, as well as to see how much you've learned, changed, or grown overtime. I think this would be fun for many different ages, and not just teenagers. It would be great to have for when you're traveling, bored, or just in the mood to do some soul searching. It would be fun to fill out with a group of friends even. I think this would be a positive gift for anyone, especially those who enjoy reading or writing. My daughter hasn't finished this yet, but she has started and is enjoying the experience. She's happy with the purchase, and does recommend this to others. I took a few pictures to help give you an idea of what to expect in person and to show you a few examples. I hope our experience and pictures helps you in some way.

This was a fun journal. I enjoyed the prompts and honestly didn’t even want to burn it after lol. It’s worth the price and it’s quite durable. I really liked this book

Book review
I actually read this whole book with some of my best friends once and we just went back and forth answering the prompts. Was that the intended purpose of the book? Probably not, but it helped us connect even more!

Quality of the book is great. All questions are worth writing. Book is not too lengthy or too short. Some Questions are really creative and requires brain storming and some are like rapid fire. This book is perfect for anyone above the age of 17. Any gender will love this book. I want to let you know what kind of questions are asked but that will just kill the fun. The only issue is the book requires a lock because the questions are extremely personal I would rate this book a 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Because such intimate book requires a lock and you don’t want anyone to read your life story
