are these stars radioactive ?

NOT at all. They emit nothing but very low level visible light, and only after being exposed to fairly strong visible, or UV light for a fairly lengthy period of time. Apparently these other responders are to young (or maybe just too ignorant) to know that mixing small amounts of radioactive material was once common practice to create self-luminous "glow in the dark" paints/coatings, especially for use in small applications like watch dials and equipment panels. That has NOT been done for many, many years, however. Those coatings did not have to be "charged" to glow, even the small amount of "radiation" (mostly alpha waves) emitted were enough to make the phosphorescent material glow, these, and other modern "glow in the dark" materials, however, do NOT glow "by themselves", but only after being exposed to light.

How big are the stars?

There are 4 total sizes. The large ones are pretty large, but there are only a few of them. There are more of the two smallest sizes, which is a bit of a bummer since the largest stars are the brightest.

Are they easy to remove once put? Will they damage the ceiling paint?

They are perfectly simple to remove, and won't damage a thing, for my paint at least. Breathing on my walls seems to chip them. xD They've been wonderful for me!

what color is the glow? is it really white, or kinda green or yellow?

It's yellow green much like the common glow of any other thing that glows in the dark
