Honda blower and resistor assembly replacement
A few quick things. I have an 09 Honda Fit that the blower started only working on 4, high, a few days ago. Did some research and found the blower and resistor assembly would need replacing. Contacted my local dealership and was given a price quote of $457 for parts and labor + tax. Ouch! I figured there was no way replacing those two items should cost that much! Further research showed it to be a simple process and I could obtain both parts on Amazon for 1/5 the price, including overnighting with Prime. Received them today and the blower works great! As some others have stated, the blower does seem to have a higher whine than the original. I barely only noticed it while on high. I'm fine with that. Also, I bought this paired with the resistor assembly as that is what was actually damaged. I probably could have kept using the factory blower, but didn't want to take any chances. I found several places online that described how to take out both the blower and the resistor assembly. I had the blower out within 5 minutes. It's only three star bit screws, the power connector and done. As for the resistor assembly, that was more difficult. I found the easiest method for me to remove it was instead of going in upside-down from the floor, I pulled my glove compartment out (push in on a large rubber clip on each side and pull), so I could access both screws directly with an extension. However, I quickly found they would not budge easily! Once I finally had both of them about halfway out, I yanked them both with some pliers. Turns out, Honda had glued the front half of each screw into the holes. Let me say that again. HONDA GLUED THE SCREWS INTO THE HOLES! It took me over an hour to just remove those two screws. Anyone looking to do this themselves and experiences problems removing the screws holding your resistor assembly to the back compartment wall, that may be the reason. I had to apply some force inwards against the screws and nearly stripped them both. Best of luck to anyone else who does this themselves! It really was a simple job and would have taken me maybe 20 minutes if I hadn't of been delayed by those glued in screws.

Perfect fit for my 2010 Honda Fit
Vehicle: 2010 Honda Fit. Based on reviews and online searches (Google search results including forums and Youtube), purchased this (TYC 700247 Honda Fit Replacement Blower Motor) along with Wells JA1788 HVAC Blower Motor Resistor and FRAM CF11182 Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter to address a blower motor only running on high (4) and not working on speeds 1-3. All 3 items were perfect fits. Replacement took less than an hour. They work beautifully. Needed a short Phillips head screw driver for the resistor replacement (2 screws) and a star driver for the blower motor replacement (3 screws). Removed glove compartment (2 Phillips head screws) to create more room to work and see parts and to replace cabin air filter (which was much dirtier than expected). A quick Youtube video shows how to remove the panel underneath the glove compartment and where everything is located.

simple part, easy replace
After about 2 khr (50 kmi) of service, my blower resistor and motor worked only on speed four like everyone else (see also TSB 09-097). Noticable scratchy whirring around 1.9 khr. R&R is easy with glove box out, and resistor unplugged if you have 20in P2. Unplug from bottom if you can't reach through the glove box area. Or bent over and work from the bottom with stubby. Blower motor drops down after removing 3x T25s. Interestingly others have T20 screws. Back of motor is hinged or latches. OEM compatible motors are 30 to 40$ vs 300$ for Honda's. In car current clamp of TYC reads over 10A on the TYC, so I don't want to think about what the old Honda was to melt the old resistor.

Great fan
Like everyone else, the blower resistor burned up on my 2010 Honda Fit due to the oem blower pulling too much current. So I decided to replace the blower along with the resistor. The fan fits perfectly, works and sounds like the oem fan. Completely happy with the quality and price.

9th Year Review
Price was one factor in ordering this via Amazon. Previous reviews say there is a slight noise coming from this blower fan and they are right. The noise is not significantly loud. Noise seems to get drowned out when driving and playing the radio. I ordered this on Dec 2014 & so far still works. Still does the job. 2023 review: Motor is starting to fail but still manage to spin. The issue that I am beginning to see is when initially turning on my AC. I can hear my compressor running but I don't hear my blower spinning. A quick heavy bump under the glove compartment box does the trick. I'm thinking the motor is getting dirty from all the dust. I haven't tried to take it apart to clean or lube it. Will do that next and see if it improves. My OEM only lasted 4 years. This one still runs at 9 years. Good value.

not an easy job for large bodies
Installed over a month ago and install was somewhat simple, being that you have to lay on your back in the front passenger seat area, not an easy job for large bodies. Fits perfectly and is actually quieter than the original. This is a solid replacement for those in need and would recommend to anyone looking for a less expensive replacement blower for a Honda Fit.

It Works!
I purchased this product and received it the next day via free one day shipping. The installation was straightforward. You need a T-20 Torx screwdriver or bit. There are 3 screws you need remove in order to remove the blower motor. You will have to get to under the passenger dash area. Place your hand around the blower motor to locate the screw positions. Once you loosen those screws up, the blower motor falls right out. You simply unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Replace the screws and tighten them up. You may need a hand to hold the motor in place while you tighten it. I also replaced the Blower Motor Resister which regulates the fan speed. I found it locally at AutoZone for about $20.00. The resister is to the left of the air cabin filter in the dash. You will need a pair of long screwdrivers. I picked up a set of super long screwdrivers from harbor freight for 5 bucks. I paid $55 total for the new blower, resister and cabin air filter. The average cost for a Honda Fit blower motor replacement alone is between $428 and $450.

Worked great, and then it didn't.
Install went very simply, all mounting points lined up and the new blower motor worked great for roughly two weeks. Then on a particularly cold day where I needed the defroster, I set the heat to hot, and put the fan on 4. Upon which, my wife noted a terrible, burning/electrical smell. The fan then ceased to operate normally, and I had no heat/air at all. Unfortunately, I found all of this out after the return window closed through Amazon.

Hondo Fit Blower doesn't suck ;-)
Amazing price, especially compared to the oem product, and it arrived the next day! Item fit perfectly and performs correctly. If your blower resistor blew first you'll need another of that too. Don't replace the resistor first without removing and checking the blower. Mine was very tight, which increases draw and causes resistor failure, in only a few seconds.

Works Great
Second time replacing. The design of the ducting is bad as this fan sits flat, and any condensation in the duct work will drip onto the motor. I believe this is the cause of so many failures. It fit into the Fit just fine. Took 15 minutes. Highly recommend over what Honda is charging for the part.

Lasted 5 yrs
Bought this Blower assembly in 2019 and installed in a 2014 Honda Fit. In 2024 it stopped working and bought another one. Even though it should have lasted longer, the price is much cheaper than anywhere else I checked.

Mine works great and is only the tiniest bit louder
I got lucky, I found this blower on the one day Amazon 70% off sale and paid $29.91 CDN! instead of $300 from the dealer It was a 40 minute job to replace both the blown resistor and the original blower in my 2011 Fit. The Honda blower bushings dry out and the blower won't start on the lowest speed. Then the resister heats up and the safety solder melts before the wires melt or an electrical fire results. Installation tip: remove the lower passenger plastic cover under the lower glovebox, then remove the glovebox and find the longest Philips screwdriver (10" or longer). for the resistor screws. The blower screws need a flat blade regular screwdriver. Mine works great and is only the tiniest bit louder. The current draw is virtually the same on high. About 6.8 Amps.

Worked Great, Replaced the fan in 20min
Worked Great, Replaced the fan in 20min, 3 screws out it comes pop the new one in. A bit noiser then the OEM honda fan, but for the price you can't beat it, shipping was great too.
