It sounds like you know the difference between "cutting oil" and oil that is intended for lubrication applications. Certain types of metals or alloys cannot be drilled without cutting fluid - the bit will just spin in place. And get overheated in the process. These are excellent quality bits and I couldn't help but notice the smallest sizes are doubled - since they can break during a job - and the 1/4" bit is doubled -- smooth move, since shop DIY experts such as ourselves, use the 1/4" size most frequently and it's just nice having "spares" on hand. Anyway, good luck! **Q: Can these be used to drill in concrete?** A: Not a concrete drill. Not much of a drill at all from the couple of times I have used these. Drill one hole and the tip is GONE! Terrible product. **Q: can the bits be used on metal and wood** A: These work on wood and soft metal. They handled aluminum without issue.
