I’ve gone through so many notebooks over the years, but this Le vent refillable genuine leather journal is on another level. The cover is real leather (not that fake stuff), with a rich vintage brown finish that already has that nice worn-in patina right out of the box—and I know it’ll only get better with age and use. It feels substantial in the hand, soft yet durable, and has that authentic leather smell that makes you want to write immediately. What sold me is how truly refillable it is. It came with two high-quality A5 inserts (one lined, one blank), each with 200+ pages of thick, cream-colored, lay-flat paper that’s fountain-pen friendly—no bleed-through even with my heavier inks. Swapping them out is effortless—just slide the old one out and pop the new refill in. No fuss, no special branded refills required (though their own are excellent). I’ve already ordered extra inserts because I plan on using this cover for years, maybe decades. The size is perfect: 5x8 (A5) fits easily in my backpack or briefcase for work, travel, or daily journaling. It has a nice elastic closure to keep everything secure, plus a bookmark and subtle pockets inside for loose notes or receipts. No cheap hardware here—everything feels premium and well-crafted. If you’re tired of disposable notebooks or want something that feels personal and meaningful (great gift for writers, planners, artists, or anyone who loves analog writing), this is it.
